Well here is the trivia question, has any player ever been knocked out in a marking contest by a player who didn't pull the elbow out or just straight punch them in the back of the head. Has any player ever been knocked out from a knee to the base of the neck/face in a marking contest?
Here comes Tony Barbar. A round of applause everyone 👏

This will have the AFL HQ up all night thinking about how they will stage manage this complete balls up.

Watch Cripps dominate the next two weeks and not get a single brownlow vote. They'll want this forgotten about as quickly as possible. Can't have him getting close to a Brownlow now as it will embarrass them even more.

Bullshit. I don't see you in any other mrp threads where someone gets knocked out. You're here because you have a vested interest in Cripps missing out. If he were a GWS player you wouldn't be here at all.
Yer and you're here because you have a vested interested in Cripps playing. If Cripps played for someone else, you wouldn't be here either.

Got off on bullshit lawyer speak technicalities.

Unsure why it was relevant whether he got asked if he was trying to bump, that's the tribunals job to decide as part of their decision.
Well intent is always a key factor in deliberations. Probably less so when the original grading is "careless", but in the world of makey-uppey MRP, who knows.

People watch footy to get away from the bullshit of the real world, where people can get off charges at court from having smart enough lawyers find a crack and a technicality. Thanks for bringing that into sport AFL.

This one reeks of a set-up. Why wouldn't Calrton make this case on Tuesday? Why wouldn't they say that this was not a bump and make more of an issue when trying to get him off? How would the AFL prosecutor not know that he has to establish that it was a bump for the charge to stick?

Absolute set-up to me.

Lol. We did make the case on Tuesday.
The Tribunal ****ed up, and unreasonable suspended Cripps, hence the appeal being successful.

Far out this game is a joke now. There’s been a fair chunk of money passed under the table on this one it seems. You want to see the good players playing but for them to appeal once for no change and then all of a sudden this, the AFL and Carlton have made this one a bit to noticeable.

Is there a single non-Carlton fan that thinks it shouldn’t have been weeks? I mean, Freo have an interest in Carlton winning both games but theres no-one without navy blue goggles arguing the act was fine right?

AFL has no choice but to throw out the book and start again, the damage control is gonna be through the roof and hopefully something good comes of it.

It's a conspiracy unless it's not your team playing them in the next two rounds. Got it.

The contact aspect of the sport is fine. The issue is he jumped for a ball that was already on the downward trajectory and he was coming in second to the contest and chose to jump. As soon as he chose to jump then it was an issue and he became liable.

The fact he got of on a technicality is bullshit and the AFL have huge egg on their face because of this.

Some of you guys are out of your mind!!
So players should stay back and stay out of the contest if they saw an opponent already going for it????

Clearly you have no knowledge of what was discussed to form an opinion like that and are just trying to make yourself look good.

Maybe invest more time and understanding before making ridiculous comments

Correct decision.
