Injury/awareness started prior to Christmas from what we’ve been told. Three months later & he’s still having issues & apparently at least another month away. I’d be surprised if he played at all this year to be honest.

OUT: Freeman
IN: Hanners

same position basically. hopefully that changes!

CH10 saying at least round 6 also saying calf & Hammie
Had Richo on but wife decides to speak just as he comes on DOH
Richo said in his press conference today looking about rd4 or 5, with the chance he plays some managed minutes in the VFL to get the loading in. They were optimistic that potentially rd2 last week but decided its not worth pushing it

Think we should run a NTP
Round 10 for me

Just watched the injury report on Saints website

Longer, hamstring - 1-2 weeks
Paddy, concussion - still symtomatic so cant put a time frame on return
Hanneberry, hamstring - still needs to do football specific training, no timeframe on return
Robbo, heart - season
Bytel, back - season
Carlisle, back - running to start in about 12 weeks, return anticipated late in the season
King, knee - 8-10 weeks

That is all. No mention of GOAT, McKenzie or Pierce.

It would be nice to hear from the club how Jake and Bytels surgeries went?

In the injury video this week they mentioned them.
Bytel is doing off legs work but still either 8 or 12 weeks off running (can't remember which)
Jakes surgery went well and will begin training 12 weeks post op with the view of returning for the end of the season.

Just get them ready for next year

*Potentially old news alert and not all that surprising.

Bumped into a former St Kilda great earlier in the week who said Nick Hind is locked and loaded for Sunday.

Hopefully.

Really liked from what i saw. Hardness/Pace and lowers the eyes when kicking.

Well there goes going on Sunday. No trains on the Frankston, Dandy or Sandy line. Not happy Was looking forward to the game.

Victorian Government.
If someone was wanting to run the Korfball world Cup, the pollies would all be on planes to Europe so they can say how great Melbourne is at staging big events, yet they are too crap to ensure that Freeway tunnels or rails are running for the AFL , which is a big event by any definition.

Haven't heard a thing about Geary, but even if injured, I wouldn't put it past him to still get up and be right for Round 1. As resilient a player we have on our list.

Selection is going to be very interesting if we do indeed play all of Hind, Wilkie, Parker and Kent.

Geary - Joyce - Wilkie
Savage - Battle - Webster
Billings - Steele - Newnes
Gresham - Bruce - Kent
Long - Membrey - Marshall

Pierce - Ross - Steven

Parker, Hind, Clark, Dunstan

That means no room for Sinclair or Acres?

I think that only one of Marshall/Pierce will play. Hoping Blake gets picked.

Looking forward to watching Marshall, Long and Clark. Just wish we could get Coffield and Acres in the side as we desperately need to get as many games into the young talented players as we can or continue down the never ending path of mediocrity.
If Acres is fit and not picked the constant confusion of our selection committee continues.
