Future 2 for an injury prone, 50 gamer who is 28. Adelaide won this trade. should've been a future 3. But whatever, hope he does something this year.
Is this your way of saying you got it wrong... ;)

It's what most Crows supporters on this board were saying in this thread.

I've said similar in the Henry thread but people dont understand how garbage future 2nds are now, they are basically third round picks because they are the picks teams match bids on as it stands. We got a a future 2nd tied to North for Logue and it's going to be pick 30 by the time it's used on draft night...

This pick will be well into the 40s by the time it's used next year short of Melbourne falling off a cliff

Those clubs matching bids need multiple 2nd rounders to do so though so there is still value. This year also seems to be an extremely thin draft while also having a heap of early academy and father-son selections as well as assistance package picks.

Next years 2nds should be a lot more valuable then this years 2nds...

Seems the pick would be more valuable to crows as points for Welsh. If Melbourne held on to it for next year and didn’t get McAdam, there’s not a great chance we actually get a player that would have the output of McAdam over the next 3 years. Unless of course we significantly slide.

Watch GC break up all their picks further on draft night. Teams match bids with like one 2nd round pick and then a whole bunch of junk so 2nd round picks basically always move back or at best, stay in the same spot. Add in band 1, 2 and 3 compo and we just get further out.

Until they fix the bidding system, future 2nd round picks will continue to be at least picks after 30 unless bottom 2-4. Dont forget, future 2nds are already out two spots with North compo

Dees top four finish and, as other posters have pointed out, in 2024 two extra North picks, Band 1, 2 & 3 before this F2 and it's out in the 40's. The draft is a shambles.

McAdam can play - we wuz wobbed!

north won't have the 2 extra picks. afl won't give it to them.
They've already been traded. They would be hard pushed to take them off the team that has traded for them.

But I also don't subscribe to that theory of it'll blow out. It would blow out more if it was 15-25 then if it was 30-40.

Definitely will be a s**t pick if Melbourne finishes top 4, only useful for points next year.
