It’s not about most influential though.
It’s about structure.
Jackson in the ruck means a Kuek or Reidy gets a chance. Fyfe instead goes forward, who’s been so poor.

We can't start our attack from the backline. There is no future in that.
Ryan is an intercepting defender but they chose to lock him up against Greene. Young is also an interceptor.
