Mitchell lewis has been the most improved in the pre season i cant wait to see him play in the vfl

How far off a sneaky AFL debut is he?

All he can do is keep performing. Needs to also ensure that he runs defensively. I want th o see him in a real vfl game

Seems to be kicking goals every game. Expect he'll get a debut this year if his form continues.

We have a Mitchell in the team, will be nice to get a Lewis back too.

Lewis is seriously improving, and has been so since the back half of last year. He's a fantastic contested mark but he's also mobile and can cover the ground, a trait valued by Hawthorn. It's great to see him kicking bags in multiple games as when he's firing he looks a weapon (albeit in practice games)

He still has quiet periods where he doesn't impact, but he's closing the gap between his best and his worst and is looking extremely promising. Don't think he's ready just yet but I think he'll make it. Another year in the system to build up his body and work on his craft, and he'd be my breakout pick for 2019.

Lewis needs to keep doing what he's doing at VFL level to have a chance of knocking out Roughy or Schoey.

He looks more solidly built than that and isn't as easy to move as other lanky youngsters.

The odd misjudged marking contest seems to erase all the other good things these players have to offer. All to be replaced by a kid.

Not like TO or a (younger) Shoey. If there's a comparison I'd make it'd probably be first year Jesse Hogan. Not saying he'll get to Hogan's level but that's what he reminds me of.

I was watching the highlights reel on youtube for the game on sunday.. is this the big unit that was smashing people out of his way while taking contested marks? That was impressive to watch.

This joint would absolutely melt down if Lewis and Morrison become good AFL players. Don't forget, they were the picks we got for the S Mitchell and Lewis trades.

I reckon Harry is already on the way.

To be fair, about half those guys only came good once they got here (eg. Hale, Gibson, Ceglar). And arguably the rest improved or recaptured good form.

There's TOB's main problem right there, he is moved away from the ball too easily.

Certainly don’t want Roughy to get a niggle but happy that we have someone who might be able to step in when the time comes (and it likely will some time during the year...as long as it’s a minor niggle!!!)
