im a big fantasy player and im quickly learning that playing against Ned Reeves is a pain in the ass cos he's quite hard to score against

To be fair, English would be higher but the doggies get a lot of free kicks for (them) and against (the opposition) instead of ball ups.

Majority of those guys have also played as the solo ruck with only limited support while ned has had to share ruck duties with meek for a number of games

Thats the one which really matters.

Last two games have proven to himself, the coaching team and us supporters that he can push himself to be the solo ruck.

Maybe he can't do it for twenty games yet but if he can wrestle the majority of the ruckload it will go a long way in allowing our midfield to continue to exert dominance throughout the game.

He's 6th for HTA % of rucks with over 100 hitouts for the year. So very good.

Honestly, the only thing standing in between Reeves and being a truly elite ruck is his tank. He tried extremely hard to keep up with English on the weekend, which he did, but there were times where English got on top purely because he was covering the ground just that bit better.

If he can work to make that a relative strength, the sky is the limit.

Yep and he has a perfect case of a current captain in Gawn to follow. Gawn was a smoker and didn't have much of tank but really worked hard gave up smoking to build it

Great set of games to test big Ned. English followed by Darcy. Two of the best on the league this season. Hoping he can have a great game again this weekend and compete well.

I’d then love to see him really monster an inferior rock at some stage shortly thereafter.

The thing I’ve noted is that his opponents are spending a great deal of energy trying to nullify and negate him, by taking his body and his space, like the Geelong boys did, but he’s still giving us great first use.

Gets smashed by all and sundry when he has down games, but not getting enough love for his game on the weekend.

Did exceptionally well against English. Won the battle in my view, and it was against the best ruck in the comp this season
