The more I watch the more he appears a perfect first ball clearence player.
Big frame, low cente of gravity, makes quick clean decisions by hand and foot.
Gets his hands up above tacklers quickly and effectively and ball to boot in the blink of an eye.

Has the added bonus of being reasonable stong overhead to add a string forward or back.

Think Tom Green like.

6’ 5 mid smooth mover, composed and a beautiful kick ……. this is doing my head in with the height we are bringing in. Hope Moore will still want to socialise with the boys outside of the club! Bizarre and intriguing looking kid but something about him. Peddles is one of my favourite players to watch over the last decade and it’s insulting to compare but he sort of moves like him.
Dylan might want to invest in a pair of these bad boys next year before going out with the lads on a Saturday night

Sam Mitchell-like do you think? Lacks top speed but agile, quick of mind, etc.

Every time I watch clips of this bloke he resembles Howe as much as Scrimshaw resembles Birchall. Same posture, same run, similar kicking style.

I know there are plenty who want to rate him far better, but maybe the upside is that he'll be the player Howe could have been if he hadn't been moved around too often and had any natural flair drilled out of him.

Hopefully it's Dan Howe with an overclocked CPU then. Make those decisions a coupla hundred milliseconds quicker

Welcome Henry, and good luck!

There's a couple of these types on the list, and he's also gone after players who think like him in terms of maximizing their own talents.

Going to be a team of Sam Mitchell like players with loads of natural variation built in

At times this year he was playing key back and inside mid, so he is very versatile, I like that he hunts the ball and is clean with his 45 degree kicks, I liked his brother a few years ago who has become a quality vfl player for Collingwood, I think Henry has good potential and instincts on the inside and through traffic and at 195cm as a mid gives us a different option.

No need to make light of Tom Green's battle with Testicular Cancer.

Geez it's crazy how in a 2 year period you can completely change and area of your list. Our midfield in the last two years has added Jai, Ned long, C-Mac, Stephens, Bramble, C Mackenzie, Amon, Ward, Hustwaite, O'Sullivan, etc.
Anyone who has watched our midfield in the past 5 years wouldn’t actually think this was crazy.

His brother not getting picked up at all was an all time head scratcher IMHO. Genuine footballer who simply lacked something special to grab the attention.

Henry’s height/size means he stands out this year.

Sam mentioned last night that Henry has the best hands in the draft, he said that there’s already been moments at training where the coaches have been quite surprised at how well he can find targets by hand, how clean he is in the contest, and at his size how it doesn’t matter if he has to go under or over the tackler. Sam seems like a fan.

He genuinely reminds me of a young Sam, just a very clean and composed midfielder with a point of difference in his height and marking ability. He's a perfect outlet to get the ball out to Jai, Moore, and Mackenzie when he gets a bit of muscle and can take contact at stoppages more consistently. What our midfield struggled with was getting our hands to the footy first during contests, and we've brought in the height and natural midfield nous to correct that over the next few seasons.
