Hey guys

I thought it might be easier to create a thread specific for confirmed trades and daily summaries to help save time for those trying to catch up

Mods- if you prefer this to live in the main trade thread, feel free to move it across.


Day 1:

Trades: SFA

Ah chee requested a trade to west coast
Strung out formally nominated methendon (a match made in heaven)

Both port and Adelaide showed no interest in neck beard

On our board:

kernelT suggested something big is brewing but he couldn't elaborate yet.

Some people assumed he was talking about taking the mother of all King Henry the 3rds, but I'm assuming he now has ITK status confirmed

Ghost gave a quick summary that:

Collingwood and pies into schache
Adel shopping lever
Dodo being a * wit (no news there ghost)
Lots of clubs want our picks
Hick attracting interest

Oh- and toot toot made a surprise appearance saying he was acting as an advisor. More likely there was a school excursion planned for etihad that he was all over.

Then later ghost posted that someone has approached us with a pick swap hypothetical that has us interested..its dependant on other trades happening tho

Clearly we are getting 1 and 2 for 7 and 8.

One poster suggested we keep on swapping into 1st rounders every year but was yelled down

Most other trade hypotheticals posted would likely see Ameet charged with sodomy if they eventuated

Thanks to Kegs and anyone else that can keep this updated. Normally during trade week I can sit on this thread the whole time and ignore work, that's off to a bad start this time though.

Trades: absolute ******* none

Strung out: according to SEN, Connors has said that Stringer hasn't actually nominated anyone yet. So that may not be all over yet. Likely to still be methendon tho

Rockliff: papers lodged. Not expected to be matched. Should net bris pick 19 in compensation.

Cal Toomey has suggested Angus Brayshaw would be a good fit for us. Performed well in some running testing and is rocketing up the rankings.


From our board:

bird_man outed whispy for a Twitter post where he said it was a ghost town at Etihad today. Ummmmmm whispy- no campaigner is at etihad today you peanut

Suggestions around trading up.

Okeefe vs talia- most agreed they are both potatoes

Hartung floated, and torpedoed almost immediately

Ghost had the gall to suggest that hartung has stats compatible to The GOAT. He has been chastised and has promised never to blaspheme again

Lots of melts that rayner can only do an 11 beep test. 2 issues there. 1- we probably won't have the pick to land him anyway and 2- there is no beep test per se anymore. It's now the yo-yo test, whatever the * that is

BOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!

Trades: zero, nada, zilch.


On our board:

TheBlackKnight announced himself as an ITK. And in the true BF tradition, he was embraced and supported with gusto.

Even TBKs contacts in the saints board room couldn't inspire us with trades

George suggested he is hoping to get some movement tomorrow. PaddysurDaddy suggested that prune juice might help

puppy_dog7 asked whether we would consider Zac Clarke if we offloaded hickey.

Fair to say I haven't seen as little support for an idea since stringer offered to run the clinics at all girls schools

Finally, ameet is on a podcast saying we are hoping to trade up but we won't trade down. (Sorry I haven't listened yet so can't really summarise it yet)

Not much else to tell.

Trades: see above. Yep, some trades finally *in happened!!

Not much. Some general comments that the smith trade was a win / win though some reckon the dodo did well.

Though it must be said the embarrassing Twitter thing they made Smith do must be worth an extra 100k a year.

Most agree melb giving up 2 firsts for lever was overs but they get who they wanted

Still discussions that we may trade up.

Joffaboy in possession of the goss on stringer so now every bastard wants a PM.

Pretty quiet considering

FWIW: Wallace was on SEN this morning and is 100% for us trading into the top 5. Reckons the players after that don't suit what we need but the top 5 do to a tee. His top 5 were Rayner, LDU, Dow, Cerra and Stephenson.

Andrew Swallow had expressed a desire to join his little bro at GC

It's nice that they're attracting some interest, but hardly superstar


From our board:

The discussions continue about trading up. Some talk that B.S. has said in twitter that we may go 8 and a player for pick 3.

That sparked a variance on the annual "armo to QLD" chat. This year it is "armo to the blues".

Some chat about whether we should have gone after Weller but most agreed it's hard for Seaford to compete with the GC meter maids. Marge from the canteen tries her best, but to be fair she is up against it....


Much more circle work chatting about schache etc to pass the time

And, as usual, more in the never ending "ITKs can do no wrong" vs "ITKs know nothing" camps.

And apparently Scott Clayton has riled out trading pick 2, and it is very unlikely of getting 1 or 3. Looking most likely we keep 7 and 8

It's getting harder and harder to fill column space here. With such little action most of today's chat resorted to convos about nangs.

Ameet confirmed tomlinson is a no go. Looks like 7 and 8 almost a certainty now.

Apparently that isn't good enough for Plough..so on order to have Plough rate us as "winners" in the trade period we are seeking to trade 7 and 8 for Suban and Zac Clarke.


Really not a lot more to tell. The good thing is, it's almost over for another year.

Apparently plough was on TR and came up with a brilliant trade idea- 7 & 8 for 2 & 21. Gee, i wonder where he got that from?

Brett Anderson saying he reckons Weller is worth 7 or 8, so that may open up the trade

Also, channel 10 apparently went with the above trade being a chance
