No such thing as an accident on the footy field in the eyes of the Sydney theatregoers, unless it involves playing with extra men on the field or climbing goalposts.

Petes eyes were on the ball the whole time. Nothing wrong with that. Just an accident.

Didn't take his eyes off the ball

Had his eye on the ball the ENTIRE time.

Eyes for the ball the entire time. Sports cooked if he gets anything for that.

Still waiting for someone to explain how having eyes for the ball allows you to put your shoulder through someone's head

Wright isn't a thug, and that wasn't a thug act.

But if anyone thinks that Peter Wright would have gone through a teammate (let's say Zac Merrett) in the same manner if it were Merrett running back with the flight of the ball, is kidding themselves.

Wright knew Cunningham was there, all this talk about eyes on the ball and a last half-second unavoidable contact.... just not the case.

Wright would have realised he was late, and chose to bump as he didn't want to pull out. Football act, 1-2 weeks seems right to me.

So if you put a knee in someone's head in a marking contest it's a free kick right? Wait, it's not?
Rules can have exceptions. As you have just demonstrated.

Toby Greene was allowed to kick a player in the face (from a handball). Wright should get off.

If you zoom in and enhance the imagine you can see one of 2 meter Peter’s eyes is on the ball and the other is looking down at his victim
