Just checked, he's from Fish Creek in Gippsland.
That town has a population of 827 but has produced a few AFL footballers - Bulldogs fans will never forget Barry Stanfield who was a favourite. Talk about a town punching above it's weight. Cobden is still the king (7 current footballers out of a ~1,800 population town).
