Here's an interesting stat.

We're equal 3rd in terms of the least amount of players used so far in 2021
Its mind boggling isn't... the absolute antithesis of a rebuild

Our club is all about $$$ and the easily pleased majority of 'go to the footy for 3 hours of entertainment', who have no interest in watching new players because they dont their names.

Without Port, our Club would even be lazier and bask further in the flags of 97 and 98.

If you lose a bowler, there are other bowlers in the side. If you lose the only guy that can ruck, you have no chance of winning stoppages with our midget midfield.
That's why we always pick two wicket keepers!

There isn't a single player in the team that can't ruck

That stat alone means nothing unless you do a breakdown of 1st, 2nd, 3rd year draftees and debutants played by each club.

Fogartys weight isn't the issue for mine, it's his tree trunk legs.
See Ollie Wines. Appears to have lost weight off that part of his body and it's helped his game enormously.
Yet to see very much of this "it's helped his game" with Darcy at this point?

Not a good stat at the start of a rebuild.

We're not rebuilding any more. That was just a play on words to dupe people into renewing their memberships after we finished bottom and managed to make our list weaker in the offseason.

27 used so far (including Jones as a non-playing injury sub). 45 formally listed. So where do we finish up in terms of players used? In likelihood from top to bottom (all my opinion only and hoping I haven't forgotten anyone):

Crouch and Talia will be back when fit.
Hately, Thilthorpe and Worrell should come into consideration sooner rather than later. All should get games.
Himmelberg will likely play at some stage.
Jones and McAsey will both be called on, if only to showcase them to other teams for 2022.
Pedlar and Cook should both play games this season, pending proving they are AFL match fit.
I feel, that O'Connor, Newchurch and Borlase would have to put together 3-4 good games in a row to force the selectors hands.
Strachan is an insurance option, but only to cover injuries. Unlikely to play
It's hard to see Gollant getting fit and in form in time to play this year. Ditto Davis.
We won't see Milera this year.
Gibbs and Stengle are gone.

I see us playing 36-39 players this season, with the dividing line being O'Connor/Newchurch/Borlase.

That's because it's evidently still there. I'm suggesting take that weight off his lower body.
Similar to what Tex has done.
Can you really take weight off to a specific part of a person's body though, I would have thought in Tex's case he's fined down marginally weight wise all over?

I understand there are particular exercises that can remove gut fat and tighten up muscle etc but specific to his lower body?

That is a pretty lazy take on the stat.

By your logic if we bring Talia and Crouch in the team for say Butts and Berry we are be rebuilding better because we have played more players!

The number of players used is more correlated with injury (and returns from injury) than “rebuilding”. A more important metric is average games experience of a team on the field.

Thats like saying can a Bigfooty poster play footy? Sure of course they can, but will they be any good at it, of course not.

The original statement was that we only have one guy that can ruck. That's not true, every player can ruck. O'Brien goes down, next man up.

It's a bit of a pointless thing to say too. It's like saying "well if [good player] is replaced with [bad player] we are significantly more likely to lose". That's always been true. If any of our best players get injured during a game then our chances of winning go down. You don't fill a team with backups for your best players, you pick the best side to win and adjust if injuries occur.

No thats your ridiculous logic. If we're dropping Butts and Berry we should be playing Worrell and Pedlar - thats getting games into a rebuilding squad, and finding out who is up to it and who isn't.

Change diet to a lower carb diet should do the trick.
