And we get the Tassie game, yet again......
sh*t venue? Send the Crows there.
sh*t timeslot? Crows can play that timeslot.
I havent looked at the fixture, but do we get a Ballarat or Alice Springs game this year? Maybe we get both?
Ballarat, yes. Alice Springs, no.

We're getting the shit timeslots because we finished stone motherless last, and were one of the least appealing teams to watch last year.

Plenty of our kids have shown flashes of their potential.

Posts like this clearly show a lack of understanding of the fact that not many young players are going to dominate reserves games surrounded by a bunch of ring ins, AFL retirees and other kids around them getting pantsed week in week out.
flashes of potential?.. need to show more than just flashes of potential.

-Pedlar has shown flashes of brilliance... then cramped up halfway through the match. not match fit and ready yet.
-cook showed some flashes of brilliance too.. but he’s only one game back from injury, certainly not match fit and ready for AFL.
-newchurch is raw but has shown something.. needs to get a little bit more involved but definitely deserves a call up soon if he keeps improving on what he’s already bringing.
-Hately has been up and down but also used as the sub. will hopefully come in due to berry going down.
-himmelberg has been dogshit up until he took a few good marks last weekend... still didnt do a heap more than that though. has missed some basic set shots from 30m out.
-Thilthorpe has shown some nice things but again, has been in and out of games and looks a bit frustrated by his own current form at times. his talent, mobility and ability to pick the ball up off the ground on the run for a 200cm bloke is astounding though. just needs to find so consistent form and he should earn a call up.
-worrell deserved a call up weeks ago.. should have come in for brown or kelly when they went out injured. he had a dirty day last weekend though..

who else is there really?.. please dont say mookay.

its not enough just to blame the fact these guys are playing “surrounded by a bunch of ring ins“ as some sort of excuse to how they are looking in the sanfl.. being surrounded by a bunch of ring ins doesnt all of a sudden stop you from putting in effort.. a couple of the lads listed about have just looked disinterested and way out of sorts at times so far this season.

With Berry likely out, it would seem like Hately is going to come in.

I just hope Hately plays with some real passion and urgency. Every game I've seen him in, it seems like he is playing in second gear and playing more with an eye to ensuring he is fit for next week. He doesn't seem to have that desperate 'whatever it takes to win today' attitude.
I hope it changes, because he has some ability.

But BACCS, you are not trying to say he is as good a kick as Martin in any way right? Or that he is within a bulls roar of the Bont.

He is what he is, I love what he has delivered. His disposal is his weak spot, we can live with that.
Absolutely not, just saying it’s also not as bad as some like to make out either.

Great news on Tilthorpe in.

He looked too good for SANFL last week in his movement.

Had to debut soon

And it should mean NO Frampton.

A two goal a game improvement there.

Tilthorpe will create more opportunities for our small guys compared to Frampton.

Thilthorpe for Frampton is a nice surprise. Hartigan/Frost should be an easy matchup for him

If EH can't get a game after playing as well as he did last week, he's probably done. Might even request a trade at season's end

Walker trained fully yesterday, I wonder if we decided to pull the trigger based on that.

Great news!!

Now it will be fun watching the Apricot Slice Brigade who have been telling us he's not ready, blah blah blah, he'll need to string a few good weeks together before he is selected have to change their narrative.

And just to reinforce this point, Himmelberg played better on the weekend. We have prioritized talent which is exactly what we should always be doing this season
