Based on the 2s game today and Walker being unavailable.

OUT

Frampton - Not that I think he will be, but he's not the answer.
ROB - Needs a spell
Rowe - Likewise
Mackay - See Frampton
Doedee - Finding inventive ways to miss
Sloane - Put him in for surgery

IN
Strachan - Why not, NicNat will destroy us anyway
ROC - Give him a block of games
Gollant - Looks so damn classy
Lynch - Composure going i50.... Usually
Worrell - Perfect time with Doedee out.
Fogarty - Might not ever be the player than we thought, but he's better than Billy

As long as we don’t miss Dudley this year, the Crows might just catch that one up.
How tall is Dudley these days?

His sub-170 height has always worried me a bit (being smaller than even the likes of Betts and Stengle), but otherwise, he's an obvious natural talent

My only real worry is Kozzy has smashed the ceiling for drafting a 170cm small forward with a 1st round pick. Very unusual but has paid off handsomely. If Dudley has a good champs….

Kozzy is unique. He hasn’t changed anything. But you have to give massive credit to MFC. I should get a ban for posting that. Or I should at least delete this post. But that was one hell of a pick.

To go one step further, Melb just smashed that draft in general, even more than Port in 2018

Jackson, Kozzy, Rivers. Wow

True. But we both deserve bans for voicing that. Actually real life MFC fans that I know are pretty normal. But the MFC BFers are the biggest campaigners on here. 🙂

we get beaten every week in the midfield and our midfield depth, yet some still only want to move the deck chairs in the forward and backline.

How about we start looking at the midfield and asking why they are not getting a clean ball to the forward line.
When M Crouch had high disposable yet bad delivery people were all over him, yet lard and Keays are allowed full pass.
Berry get a pass every week for his defensive pressure but nobody complains about his forward delivery they see two good kick and forget the rest. if that was Hately this board would be calling for blood.

The Crows need to fix the midfield, not range the deck chair in the forward line.

Agree, but on the "glass half full" fron,t this year's draft will be full of very talented midfielders. May I suggest you research Finn Callaghan, Matthew Roberts, Campbell Chesser, Matthew Johnson, Neil Erasmus & of course, Jason Horne - unlikely North Melb will let him pass them by. Callaghan, Chesser & Erasmus have pace - I repeat, pace!!!!!!

The pace is not the only answer pick mids with football brains and gets some size into the middle as it does matter, the top teams have bigger-bodied mids while we are running with a smaller midfield that getting smaller.

Yes of course, but if we need big-bodied mids in 2022 then we have to trade, because not many 18 year olds fit that bill. However, Finn Callaghan is 189cm & 82kg, Campbell Chesser is 186cm & 83kg & Neil Erasmus is 188cm & 80kg. I may be wrong but I don't think any of our current mids are more than approx 184cm tall.

We just need a few over 186 with some meat on their bones, most of our mids are under 184 and light weights.
Maybe we need to give some of our bigger mids extend game time. Like they have with our smaller mids.
Crows are getting beaten in the middle and without both Crouchs in there our outside run being slowed. for all there faults they did pass the ball quickly and made created more run because of that.

1 more week for Billy ?? Maybe a run in the ruck isn't a bad idea

I want to see if he is any use as a ruckman, because he is useless as a key forward.

O'Brien is playing with an injured back, so we have nothing to lose.
