Bulldogs lost to Sydney and dropped 5 players
Beveridge has been known to drop 5 players after a win!

He is very good a rotating at least a few players every week to keep them honest/fresh

Strange with so many young players we also wouldn't be rotating players through... rather than using one of the smaller number of players

It's not strange, our philosophy is that maximising continuity maximises potential to win. Experience plus continuity is a critical to success.

It's concerning that our answer to big failures is always to add comfortable, known experience (no matter how mediocre) rather than trying something new or different with any sort of potential.

I mean did our coaches really see our forward line/entire side last week and think the answer was to bring in Lynch and Himmelberg? Like was that the problem? We didn't have Himmelberg up forward...?

Eh, frustratingly Lynch is certainly a part of an answer to that problem. Himmelberg is probably the best out of our depth forwards, but at the expense of Thilthorpe has me perplexed.

Mackay is definitely in our 2022 plans based on this season and his continued selection.

Nah, you can't determine anything by our selections.

It's certainly in our play book to play a senior player repeatedly then delist them. Douglas, and Jacobs spring to mind.

Well then our coaching and list management is clearly not aligned. Bad either way.

No, our coaching has been about next week, and the future can be damned for a while. I do wonder how much damage the early parts of 2020 did to Nick's in that regard where going hard at kids and rotating players made a right mess of us.

Reid has really been the shining light of this rebuild so far, practically forcing the club to undergo it.

How does playing the kids deep into the season hurt our tanking efforts.

Stops people accusing us of tanking when we dish up shit on game days. Experienced players in the SANFL raises eyebrows.

We're tanking.
Are we though? I would have thought that playing Sloane injured, rushing Lynch back in and continuing to pick Dmac suggests we’re pretty keen on being as competitive as we believe we possibly can be. What does not tanking look like?

And if we are tanking, then what a sad indictment on our senior players that is, that picking them ensures losses more so than playing kids with only a handful of games under their belts.

I’m not sure if serious? Are people really serious about this? The AFL could never possibly accuse us of tanking for putting games into our kids in favour of Lynch and Mackay this week.

Frampton has been playing shit for weeks. Himmelberg has done nothing in the sanfl. Either nicks is completely ****in stupid or he's tanking. For his own sake I hope it's the latter.

We're either tanking or need to sack the coach at the end of the year. I'm hoping it's the former.

Youthful enthusiasm may cause a win.

Broken down old guys don't care if we lose.

Sloane CBF shepherding that goal through last week. Fog did against the Saints.

Jones stopped a point after the siren no senior guy went near it.

Looks like we will rely on list management. Can’t trust the coach. I’d actually keep Talia (if it was me). I’d play him this week, but otherwise he’s he in the SANFL most weeks. I’d never suggest this for our club because you just can’t trust the club.

I’d have given Mackay this year too (2021), but I don’t think we needed to break glass in his position all year. We might have needed him maybe once/twice this year.. tops..

But you just can’t trust this club to do what needs to be done. The culture isn’t to win a flag. More important fish to fry.

At the back end of a season? It’s physically just not true.. they are several pre-seasons short of being able to do that… maybe at the start of the season, but not to the part of the season that we are getting to now.. seasoned, hardened AFL bodies might sneak a win

Nick's bum must be twitching. He can't go into season 3 bottom again and hope to keep his job. Forget 1 place pick improvement in the draft. Marketing will be all over themselves. Being Adelaide we will extend him another 2 years this year.

Lol people clinging to "we're tanking" instead of facing up to Nicks selection/team philosophy is woeful.

Every other team would send Sloane off for surgery so he is good to go round one next year plus gives our youngsters some good mid field minutes to finish out the season.

And we kept/keep playing Lynch, Keays, Brown and Tex injured.

Roo needa to walk away and we almost need an independent panel to select our next coach.
