A forward line of Lynch, Walker, Himmelberg and Fogarty is certainly bold as well.

Guess we have just given up on forward pressure by going tall and extremely slow
It's effectively what West Coast did to us last time, and given Barrass is out I can understand it....sort of.

I wouldn't have done it.

2 weeks time:

Out: Schoenberg & Butts
In: MCrouch & Talia

Get the 2017 band back together.

We'll bring back all of Crouch, Talia, Lynch and Mackay for the final 5 games and then get rid of 3 of them straight after the season is over

Worse than I thought actually. Thought we may drop 1-2 kids

Instead, the guys we made pay for last week's performance? FOUR players with a combined experience of 52 games
Scholl has been dissapointing but Mackay by comparison considering his 'experience' has been much worse with no scope for improvement and not likely for another contract (well a sensible club would delist him maybe not us). There is zero point playing him.

We just cant afford to be drip feeding games to players like Scholl and Pedlar.

Yup, knowing how this club functions we'll get rid of all four of them after pumping games into them.

Adelaide and thinking beyond next week do not go together at all.

Thank **** we have Phil Reid. He's the only reason we're playing someone under the age of 25 even though we'd be circling the drain in either situation.

We haven't really drip fed Sholl though. Pedlar I agree, he needs to play.

IN:
Walker, Lynch, Himmelberg, Fogarty, McPherson

OUT:
Doedee (concussion), Thilthorpe (managed), Sholl, Frampton, Pedlar

I can only assume we're going in taller to try and take advantage of the fact that Barrass is out, but i think Witherden replaces him?

We're still going into games FAR too tall and WAYYYYY too slow. Teams will just continue to walk it out from the back.

Like..... Frampton out Himmelberg in is basically us HOPING something different happens. Definition of insanity.

Sholl was certainly VERY poor again last week for the role he was playing on the wing and Pedlar will get his chance again but looked off the pace. But others could certainly been given a rest or omitted.

Who is the replacement for Doedee, McPherson? We seem to be going in very small against a tall Eagles attack.

“Lachlan Sholl, Luke Pedlar and Billy Frampton have been omitted.“

how does that useless piece of rubbish mookay hold his spot?...
this club is a joke. hope we get absolutely flogged.

Why? The biggest thing the club spoke about after the game was defensive pressure. McKay 3 tackles, Sholl ZERO. McKay also better on metres gained, and considering Sholl is on the wing this made it even more glaring in terms of his performance. Sholl has been told time and time again he must have a defensive aspect to his game, and he's not bringing it. Gets shrugged off with poor tackling technique and gives up on the chase far too often.

You can keep harping on about Mooookaay not getting a game, whilst having absolutely nothing to back it up with other than 'Boomer energy and emotion', but the sad fact is that he's having an impact on games where others are not.

It's a delicate structure balancing experience and emerging youth, some seem to think we should have a team of newbies, only to get trounced and they'll be back the next week baying for Nicks' blood.

Haven't we selected every available senior player all year and still get beat most weeks fairly comfortably? They aint helping. Well Dmac and Lynch certainly wont help. The others contribute.

Tell me more about this defensive pressure being valuable in a week where we selected four key forwards (a structure which is incapable of providing adequate defensive pressure), and two of them are known witches hats in Lynch and Fogarty to compound issues. If this is Nicks attempt at improving that part of the game, sack him now because he's an incompetent buffoon.

We've kept on with panicking after last week, and dropped one of our brightest prospects for an absolute potato we're likely delisting at the end of the season in the hope Mackay has his 1 in 5 week adequate game. It's the start and end of it.

I think Lynch will, he's usually solid enough with ball in hand.

Not sure it's worth playing he AND Walker though

No he hasn't, and stats back that up. Again, there has to be a fine balance between 'getting games' young players, and rewarding poor effort.

DMac has been OK IMO, and the experts, you know, the coaches, reckon he's a pretty important cog in that linkage going up the ground.

At some point we need to disregard form a bit and just pump games into them. Otherwise we are in a situation where we waste dozens of games on near certain delistee candidates every year then complain we don't have enough players with 50 plus games.

I think you'll find there's a wide gap between what you and the coaches deem 'adequate' from Mackay.

Yeah you're preaching to the choir in terms of our FWD selection. It's too tall/slow

You must live in bizarro world if you truly believe that.

These AFC experts have never led the club astray before...

Yeah, 14 pressure acts and ZERO tackles. What was he doing, throwing mud at them when they went past?

I think you might need to take a break from these forums, mate, you and a few others. Hating the club THIS much can't be good for your health.
