Dusty Hit

Seriously dangerous act by Martin players these days don't go out of their way to run over to a player and throw an elbow at another player .
Broken jaw or worse could have easily eventuated .
Once again the severity of the injury if any dictates the penalty , intent should absolutely be taken into account in a case like this where a player goes out of his way to snipe another player .
By giving just one week is pretty much saying to all players its ok to go around throwing elbows whenever you like just so long as you don't break a jaw or badly injure someone .
AFL are as weak as piss and seriously need to revisit these penalty parameters in place for suspensions .
Anybody that actually believes the elbow hit the back of the player is seriously deluded .
Very true regarding Afl being weak as piss, Liam Jones should have been suspended in rd 1, glad you agree.

The MRO of course said no such thing. Your the one who'se lying.

I
"Taking into account the visual look of the incident, the player reaction, the medical report and the potential to cause a more serious injury … we decided the appropriate grading was medium in this case," Christian told AFL.com.au's The Verdict.

Why don't you just go away you idiot.

Agree with this. But some people reckon sledging involving family "crosses the line". What if, as has been suggested, Mumford sledged Martin about not being able to see his old man?

Des Headland was infamously let off after going temporarily insane when Selwood inadvertently said something about his daughter.
There are avenues to deal with sledging once game is done if a player wishes to do so other than resorting to these actions .

Sure, even if most players prefer to let what happens on the field stay on the field. Words are only words.

But there has been precedent.

Or you could try and achieve functonal literacy. What you posted does not of course say they rely on the medical report.

Strange only 1 but can’t say surprised. I can’t see how you can say we are protecting the head and players do this and you give them 1 week. Sure it wasn’t terribly hard but it does have the danger to do damage

Re-read what I posted. I said partly based on the medical report which is exactly what Christian stated above. He specifically stated the medical report was taken into account when pointing out why it was considered medium impact. Have you actually passed comprehension at school as clearly your grammar is not up to standard?

Not a Dusty hater at all but 1 week is a crap decision.

Read.. awesome so high elbow hit away just don't cause damage. Surely thats not the look the Death Star would want for the game or the actions they would condone on the field.

Guess what? Every hit has the potential to do damage. A hit in the flank can rupture a kidney or a spleen. A hit on a limb could cause a fracture, dislocation or ligament rupture. A hit in the chest could fracture ribs or even cause a myocardial contusion which could be life threatening. The list goes on and on and on. It is actually a ridiculous statement.

Good to know that the Tribunal gueidlines have now made way for the Denuto guidelines and all cases will now not rely on the rules but rather will now rely on the feel

Lol, really?

Clearly the dangers of head hits is we’ll documented. This is why the afl is so concerned about head contact. Fractured ribs ect heal...Brain injuries get worst

We know this but this hit was so mild that Kennedy didn't even feel pain. The way they've been grading any hit has been via outcome. Why do you suddenly want to change this? Mumford's case is to the point. It was a head high hit to Hewitt and knocked him to the ground. Being head high means that potentially it could have been worse, yet he got off totally with his appeal. So it's not just Dusty. It's practically every head high hit that has not resulted in damage that you are arguing against. This has been my point all the way through this. Consistency in adjudication is what we all want as supporters.
