This weekend sees Tom Lynch vs Alex Pearce. Lynch coming off of 8 goals and Pearce having held Daniher goalless and Dixon to one in a 50 point thrashing. Both are young 200cm athletes in form.
Growing up in the 90's it was commonplace for these matchups week in week out, with Carey v Jackovich being the headline act and fans of any team drooling over the anticpated contest.
So is there still room in the game for us to be excited by a forward v defender, 1 on 1, man on man contest? Or should we just put GPS's on them both and see how far they run?
