Looks like top 5 now all but set. Monash and OG locked in as 1 and 2.

Will be a dog fight for 3 and 4.

You would have to think with those to come that Ormond and Mazenod are all but set at 3 and 4. Both of them play the bottom three sides whilst OI have to play the top three sides in consecutive weeks. Would be a monster effort if OI got through, but they will have to win 3/4 and I do not see it happening.

I'll have these tips too.

Agree with the analysis, of course anything can happen, but would expect the top 4 to be per above. UHS to go down with Preston. Any word yet from the VAFA if they are sticking to 2 up 2 down this year?

This changes a few things up.

Given the lock down, may miss the next two games.

Percentage now takes on a greater role.

OI still have the tougher run. We have to win at least one of two, instead of 3 of 4.

We need to beat either OGs or Monash. Not an easy task.

If OI win one of the two, Mazenod have to win both including a game against Monash.

Well done to Ormonds Max Kennedy who won the B&F from Mason Martinez , Jack McCartney and Matt Suckling. The Pres Richie Simon got Life Membership , as well as 08 Premiership player Wayne Cove who has played for 30 years starting in Under 9's amazing stuff .

Not much footy to talk about, and I'm in a reminiscing mood, so what the hell...

Speaking of Mario lurking behind the goals, I got him a beauty one day - he had an acolyte, an apprentice, an impressionable lad hanging on his every word, and he was taking full advantage of it. Mario was telling him all about whistles and how the umpires soaked them in water pre-game to get just the right annoying tone and every single umpire in the world had a treasured whistle except goal umpires who were the lowest of the low and were not allowed to use them.

Ever so casually, without taking my eyes off the game, I reached into my back pocket, slowly pulled out a lovely shiny Acme Thunderer, held it up and rotated it a couple of times, and slowly slid it back into my pocket. Not a single peep out of Mario for the next three minutes until quarter time, and he wasn't there for the next quarter.

In eight years of umpiring a couple of hundred senior games and another few hundred juniors, that was the one and the only time a field umpire had ever asked me to hold his spare whistle during the game.

Be interesting when they come out . When we played Monash the 1st time Mac only took 5 marks and Suckling had about 40 and the Monash Pres gave him B O G .

Mirkov is a chance to start next year in the big show. From what we are hearing massive improvement on a daily basis.
