Not a lot of positives besides Sims imo. The fact that our aging midfield finally won (first time this year?) isn't of much consequence given they'll all be gone before we're in contention again. Prestia pushed KMac2 out of the centre and we still lost.
The first Sonsie kick was somewhat excusable because he'd been on a long-chase from like the interchange and then remained involved in the play. MRJ has the same problem, always spent because he's defensively covering for our elders who can't run.

Only thing I really didn't like was when he ran the ball out late in the game. Really needed to try to take it on by winning the ball, he had Broard free behind him.Harsh on Gray
No doubt he lowered his colours in the last but overall he had a very positive game especially considering it’s only his 3rd
Trainor has been played out of position the last 2 weeks in order to squeeze other youngsters into the team.Him and Trainor have needed a rest for 3 weeks.
we will flog cocksy's swans by 10 goals next week

Spent and no confidence… needs time in VFL to dominate a bit. It’s been a good spell to get a taste of afl and now he should go back and work on his craftywas faull like that before we drafted him or is he tired

I'm not suggesting he's played poorly - didn't mind him forward last week actually. Just think he needs a spell.Trainor has been played out of position the last 2 weeks in order to squeeze other youngsters into the team.
agree but theyll prob keep playing himSpent and no confidence… needs time in VFL to dominate a bit. It’s been a good spell to get a taste of afl and now he should go back and work on his crafty
yeah, i know i bag on, but the problem was that in the last quarter they stacked the defense and anticipated our long kicks to the forward line, then they mopped up us coming out of there.1 point in a whole quarter lol.so.predictable
go easy on the darl![]()
Correct you are.![]()

Rubbish there were about 30 soccers off the ground in the last.Rubbish. A player with a winning attitude picks the ball up. The only time you soccer it is when it's pushing with rain or it's to your own or a team mates clear advantage, not just hoping it works out, especially in the backline.
Look, he played a fairly decent game until the last quarter. However those two soccer kicks should not be ignored, they were horrendous play.
Personally I'm happy he took the responsibility, just not happy he missed it!slack and selfish by jonty. Marks 30m out on a tricky angle for right footer....turns his back immediately, meanwhile steely green is 12m out no one in cooee, slight angle but a gimmy (no prob for a right footer) jonty misses his shot by 5 metres.
stupid stupid stupid

Glad you mentioned Ralphsmith, I thought he was really good todayThe Good
Sims really showed something in the first 3 quarters both up forward and in the ruck giving Nankervis a chop out. Plays the rest of the season in the seniors unless form drops away dramatically.
Banks & Ralphsmith continue to build on their good form this season. Their run and carry, plus ball use are really strong features of their games.
The midfield mix looked a lot better with Prestia injected into the mix, which also allowed Taranto & Hopper to play with a bit more offensive freedom knowing that we were winning the clearance more often than not. McAuliife also had some more important moments as he also builds on his start to this season.
Our overall play in the first 3 quarters was something that we as supporters can look forward to seeing a lot more often over the next few years. The only downside was the conversion once we got it inside F50, but that won't always be the case.
The Bad
The last quarter fade out hurts as getting a scalp like GWS would have been great for this group, but considering that none of us really expected us to be in the position we found ourselves in the last quarter kind of takes away some of the pain.

Disagree. Very easy to lose by five goals in the last in modern football. They got the margin back quickly. Perhaps it’s a thing we weren’t another goal or two in front. Imagine the melts then!
Well hell, I'll have to go back and look at that, 30 blind soccer kicks off the ground in a pack in one quarter when they could have picked it up. Not a stat they keep, im sure, but surely some kind of record!Rubbish there were about 30 soccers off the ground in the last.
They were poor decisions but move on
