Opinion Sack Hinkley 3 - 2021 is worse than 2020 already

We have a fit and healthy list, we've recruited beautifully, big Dix is finally firing on all cylinders.
Imo we haven't had a list as good as this since the early 2000's. Also, Ken (along with Davies, etc) is leading the club through all of this unpredictable, covid crap extremely well.

It's early days @ 4-0, so no time to be going crazy, but the team is in great shape. Plenty to look forward to, imo.
Yep we have changed everything and recruited well but one thing that hasn't changed is the coach and that shon through tonight. Same s**t different year.

He's chris fagans b*tch

To be fair, he managed to lose to a pair of caretaker coaches (Scott Camporeale = Adelaide; John Barker = Carlton) and James Hird and Justin Leppitsch in 2015.

It’s almost as if he’s not a very good coach.

What you forget is how bad we were when he took over - give the man some credit.

Lachie Neale said after the game that a tactical adjustment they made at quarter time made all the difference, taking their skinny side winger to match our extra number at the stoppage.

Outcoached and outworked, every time we don't play a team we can simply outclass. Sack Hinkley

Yep we are still the same flat track bullies we have been for much of kern's tenure, when we have the superior talent we can beat up on inferior teams, but when the oppo comes to play our game plan is quickly dismantled resulting in their coach controlling the game.

I just don't want to take away Schofield's responsibility. The midfield is his part of the ground. If he deserved the kudos from our previous performances, we need to recognize that he got schooled, too.

Rockcliff old and slow.
Wines poor disposal.
SPP get ball kick ball.
Boak fit as always, lucky we had him or it may have been a massive blow out.

It took Hinkley half a game of footy to put Rozee in the middle. Ken gets caught flat footed more than his players.

Schofield deserves players that can actually win the ball and deliver it correctly.

I did say we needed to win at least 1 of the next 2 games between the Lions and Giants. Last night's result has put pressure on next weeks game. Can't blame it on the selection table as much as I will our lack of pressure in the midfield and clean hands to mark the ball. Whether this was because of too many pats on the back throughout the week or the West Coast game setting a low standard for opposition pressure I don't know. But we cannot lose next week. If we do we once again prove that we have no competitive edge and will be expected to only beat bottom teams for most of the year, so basically 2017 again.

I might even forget this game if we can beat GWS in style, but the way they play its not a good matchup for us. Get the selection right, win the centre clearances, mark the ball, kick straight, WIN. It's a short but important checklist, GET IT DONE PORTS

Its not that we lost, it's how we lost. Every time we lose it has to be a what happen power. It can't just be a dreary loss where we couldn't get over the line.

It has to be some horrendous blow out.

Exactly right, we didn't just lose to a better side in what was a good game.

In what was our first test of the year, we got made to look second rate. Big Red flag, need to make a few changes and respond with a good win against the giants next week.
