Misrepresentation for clickbait...neither Cheffers or Vinovich are able to use their regular season crews who actually throw the most/least flags.
Also dependent on which teams they’ve had to officiate ie less disciplined teams

He means pathetic OL play

speaks of Burrow's no blink and toughness, the Titans did everything they could to make him s**t himself and he withstood the barrage and made plays.

For a bloke coming off a knee record after having it destroyed by pass rush last year thats bloody impressive, would be understandable for him to be trigger happy on throw aways but hes not

True tough guy, unlike say Carr who rolls around in agony screaming and crying with a minor niggle, and then gets scared in the pocket. Or Kyler versus Rams absolutely terrified and hes never even been touched. I remember his rookie year preseason he complained about the opponent blitzing.

If anything he's not trigger happy enough.

Had a handful of dumb plays where he needed to get rid of it quicker against the Titans.

Nonetheless, still uber impressive for a guy in his 2nd year

Since the Bengals/Raiders controversy the reffing has been great, which makes you assume there was a meeting when that crew was removed from the playoffs and the message of - "if any of you become the narrative, you are done" provided to the remaining crews.

And the spectacle is better for it.

I can't remember any huge blown calls on the weekend. Zebras were pretty much invisible

Ron Torbert named Super Bowl LVI referee

Posted by Josh Alper on January 25, 2022, 1:25 PM EST

The NFL has announced the officiating crew for Super Bowl LVI.

Ron Torbert will be the referee when the AFC and NFC champs face off in Los Angeles on February 13. Torbert is in his eighth season as a referee and this will be his first Super Bowl assignment. He worked the 49ers win over the Packers on Saturday and has worked nine overall postseason games.

The rest of the crew will be made up of umpire Bryan Neale, side judge Keith Washington, down judge Derick Bowers, line judge Carl Johnson, field judge Rick Patterson, and back judge Scott Helverson.

Neale and Washington join Torbert in making their Super Bowl debuts. Bowers will be working in his second and the other three officials will be working their third Super Bowls.
