Reckon we still want to keep 21 rather than trade it for Henry. Think if we get 40 from the dogs for Coffield, SOS will be looking to trade picks with Gold Coast.

Trade 1:
Coff + 56 to dogs for pick 40

Trade 2:
Pick 35 + 40 (951 points) to Gold Coast for Pick 24 + 62 (908 points) - more points for gold coast for their academy

Trade 3:
Pick 24 for Henry

Trade 4:
62 or future 3rd/4th for Dow

Will still leave us with 13 + 21 for the draft + a late pick

13 + 21 is the points value equivalent of pick 4.

Wonder if we will look to trade up into the top 10? Giants (7) or Cats (8) look the only realistic possibilities.

Could definitely see that happening, more with Geelong. Was looking before Port have 25&41 as it sits.

I wonder if a 3 way trade with port to get Ratagaleyajfjsbs there.

As fun as it is to rag on the Bombers at the moment, I'm still not happy we're losing Gresham, and the compo pick is still unders.

We picked a dynamic small forward who had all the attributes to run through the midfield. He was great in his first couple of years, a real shining light in a pretty bleak time for the club. Him breaking Lonergan's ankles and kicking that goal from the boundary against the Cats was one of our club's great highlights.

He had injuries, but wasn't injury prone - snapping an achilles could happen to anyone, and hurt his knee on unsafe Optus Stadium turf...no fault of his.

We gave him a big deal as a young player to reward his potential, and fill our minimum cap requirements. The understanding when that happens has to be that your next deal might not be as big, that some of the cash you think you've earnt has been "paid in advance".

But as soon as I hear "wants to play for a big club" - then you can heck right off. The big clubs deserve those types.

Good luck Jade. You're gonna need it. If Bombers fans want your blood already for filling their cap - wait till they see your delivery inside 50

Essendon are paying a guaranteed 1.5m on Ben McKay and Jade Gresham

Does anyone why our compensation pick is below Adelaide’s? Is it because theirs was given before ours or is it because the formula determined that Doedee’s contract was slightly more valuable?

Happy it’s done and time to move on. Excited for our trades and the draft, hopefully some more movement to come.

Someone do that photo of Gresham where his eyebrows move, this time waving goodbye
