Source? I haven't read that anywhere about 15-20, that seems rather convenient. We know they asked for 8 early, so that doesn't really line up. There are several news outlets who ran with 8-27, including FoxSports, WestAustralian, it was discussed on AFL.com.au and SEN where Edmunds works after doing a quick google search.

They don't need to run with how they have 'reneged', it is obvious if they don't accept 22 after it was widely reported about the range Geelong said they would accept for Clark.

Everything you said, was stated by Edmund. Wells refuted asking for Pick 8 alone - as Edmund reported - and as a poster above pointed out, if we were going to accept Pick 22, why wasn't it part of a 3 way trade that sent it directly to us at the time?

Doesn't make any sense if that's the trade we want...and then Freo just holds onto it...

Oh wow this brings back memories. WCE supporters were losing their mind of even a straight swap of Brander for T.Kelly. :roflv1: :roflv1:

I'd do a straight swap Brander for Clark right now.

Cats get Brander, Freo get Clark ....who says no?

Couldn't agree more. Geelong have become a bunch of dogs
Because we hold our nerve on a contracted player. LOL.

Papley
Kelly
Dunkley
Hill (possibly)

The onus is on the buying club to satisfy the selling club for contracted players.

We can get Brander for free now and ship Clark off for 22+F3. Wells works his magic once again. :thumbsu:

Genuinely think that would break some WC supporters if that happened.

Instead of a straight swap for Brander, we end up with Jeremy Cameron, Cooper Stephens, Pick 30 and 32, for TK - and Brander for free as a DFA.

Oof.

Brander is probably going to end up either rookie listed at Eagles or de-listed and goes to another club as de-listed free agent or train with a club and added towards end of supplemental selection period later in summer. So yeah, highly unlikely Brander part of any real trade unless late pick tonight for pick in late 60's or 70's so he not have to go through SPP or de-listment.

Seems a bit weird that you keep bringing West Coast into this.

Don't forget Daniher and Fantasia the years before they were traded. Same with Bryce Gibbs, GAJ... especially Weller...club with the contract can do whatever they want.

I mean hell, people are losing it over Clark, but look at North demanding a Future 2nd for a guy drafted at Pick 72 and most wouldn't even know exists.

if this trade doesnt go thru, can all of the fremantle fans put in their avatars "free jordan clark" advertisements?? that was hilarious a few years back .

Yes because Brander has been killing it the past 1-2 years
