That's a massive spend by the Bulldogs – essentially two first-rounders for a six pick upgrade, when the clear top-five (Reid, McKercher, Curtin, Duursma and Walter) will already be off the board after the McKay compo and academy bid.

You'd hope that they haven't invested all of that in a 170cm small forward, even if he does have some freakish talent. You'd want to end up with an absolute blue chip prospect for that kind of spend.

Wow, GC winners in a trade for once. Now also got 10 & 17 to mine more gold. Clubs scrambling to assemble offers. GC big winners already in this trade, all the possible downside, and it could be big downside, lies with the Dogs.

Got Bevo at the helm, could well have given away a single figure pick in 2024.

Would have a big laugh if someone bid on Croft in the early teens, which is where the blue chip talent runs out, Dogs wouldn't have the necessary 2023 points

I rake Craig Cameron over the coals regularly and usually for good reason but credit where it is due, he has maximised pick 4’s value in this trade.
