I have a feeling if the Crows pass on Thilthorpe then we may very well have the choice between him and Phillips and maybe DGB, I think Holland’s will be gone by our pick.

To be honest if it did turn out that way I am torn who we should take, would be wrapped with any of them.
The young tall SA fella looks to have a well developed body already and by all accounts is fantastic below his knees and can take a grab and as others have said Phillips has leader written all over him. DGB looks like he will become the key plank of a backline.

It’s going to be a tough decision barring a unlikely selling off of our first pick, we are going to get a potential gun.

Agree. Think North take Hollands, we’ll have the Tilthorpe v Phillips dilemma. In which case I’m all in on Phillips. I can imagine GC would love it to fall the other way.

Landing those three plus a small forward like Will Papley would be bloody fantastic

I'm not sold on Macrae as i think he's a poor mans version of his brother. However if we could snare Laurie or Ford in his place I'd be happy with the haul above.

Basing this off nothing but his highlights and player descriptions, Macrae to me looks like a guaranteed, unassuming 200 game player, somewhat in the Liam Shiels

mould (but with a tad more finishing class). That vibe does make him appealing.

In saying that, Laurie was one of my early favourites when I started doing draft research. Ford looks wonderful too.

I'd only be inclined to take a solid midfield option like Macrae before those two if we went Thilthorpe at 4. If we snag a Hollands or a Phillips then I'd love that Laurie or Ford type with our second pick.

Just from watching them play full games. Scored them out of 20 for each attribute.

Just wanted to show a breakdown of what kind of player will get.

Logan McDonald - I think his marking is overrated, often very-two touch fumbly and from what I have seen, takes many of his marks on the chest. Henry for example has much better hands (a little bit Sicily like) whereas McDonald is more Tim O'Brien

(not as severe though, cause' TO is in his own orbit when it comes to butterfingers). Also don't rate his body positioning, unless he is working into space out the back. Can't jump sideways into packs to impact, in general, a very vertical player - either it's in front on the chest, or it's out the back and he has used good body to protect the dangerous space - and will take these on his chest also.

Granted occasionally he takes a good mark or two - but the number of takeable grabs he drops is a huge red flag.

Overall happy to see relative to the others, you haven't rated him that highly.

Other things - i'd give Phillips a perfect for handball and McDonald probably higher for work-rate. That's one thing he absolutely does do very well.

I had McDonald 12 for positioning, so agree with you.

If you think he's marking isn't that good it's fair enough, he does drop a fair few, but I feel that's more because he's going at full speed.

I can see a lot of Diesel in Phillips so I can see why you rate him as perfect in handballs, I did have him at almost perfect at 18
