Just a quick question.

What are the rules about walking in with the bowler and starting outside the boundary? Are you allowed to start 2m outside as long as you are inside the field of play as the ball is released?

Appreciate any replies.

As long as there isn't deliberate deception of the batter, then I can't imagine there would be a problem. You would often see players signing autographs and then rush back onto the field as the bowler was running in, for instance.
