Then you give up the pick , Brisbane chased him and is offering decent coin and contract so have to trade, Cant have it all your way

Can't see how an uncontracted Ah Chee would be worth more than Adam Saad and he was traded for a future second. Would think something like Scrimshaw from last year would be more around the mark. End of second early third probably would probably be the mark. In no world is he worth 3 picks less than a contracted Charlie Cameron.

Tell that to the lions recruitment team that has offered him 4 years on good coin.

I just spoke to the recruitment team and they agree that Ah Chee is worth nowhere near the value of Saad or Cameron. They then asked me what I was smoking?

People keep saying this like its some sort of trumping argument when really its not. Even if the 4 years is accurate, what exactly constitutes "good coin"? 300K? 400K? And realistically how much more would it be than GC are offering? its not like its going to be 100K more per season or anything. I'm sure Saad was offered "good coin" for his 3 years with Essendon. Sure if the 4 is accurate its one year less but he was still under contract for another season and got a future second round pick.

The whole he's been offered 4 years on an uknown amount so he's automatically worth pick x seems a bit simple and ignorant of what players actually get traded for.

LOL doesnt mean they have to take what they are given , If Brisbane want him they need to trade for him otherwise he doesnt get there
Contracted or not the suns will have to agree to the deal and the lions are no longer down the bottom and he will get there #15 or GTFO will be the suns demands

#15 or GTFO will be the suns demands

Specifically, Ah Chee will GTFO to another club as he literally isn't contracted.

The Suns genuinely have such a shaky bargaining position. Any expectations of a pick in the teens are just so out of wack it isn't even funny.

Lions never got a pick in the teens for an uncontracted kid. It just doesn't happen. Such bizarre bluster.

Why ?

He is a required player that has a contract offer in front of him but another team comes and offers a 4 year deal on bigger $$$ , Why dont they have the ask for the correct trade.

Lets see if rayner was uncontracted and wants to come to richmond , Would you take a 2nd rounder ?

Who's the kid there at pick 19 that's better than Ah Chee?

Its trades like this where a kid from another state wants to leave for another club thats not even in his home state , What this means is that he totally disrespected the club that drafted and looked after him since being drafted. The suns have made a massive investment in him both $$$$ and picks

#15 or another kid like Smith or McFadyen should be asked for or no trade walk into the draft

What did you get for scrimshaw out of interest? He was a high draft pick and he was uncontracted.

What about hall? He was playing AFL footy when you traded him, what'd you get for him?

You're being very unrealistic in your expectations.

Scrimshaw /Hall requested to go back home and not remain in the same state

Ah Chee doesnt want to go home he just took a dump on GC and doesnt have the right for easy access

Ah chee not worth a lot. Late second round pick at best. Probably pick 40-50
Pick 40 - 50 might as well send him to ND draft and pre season draft waste time negotiate, try to do Burgoyne and other players deal first. Brisbane won't get Lyons deal this time.

You already walked away with nothing for Lyons mate, don’t do it to yourself again with Ah Chee. If he chooses to deal solely with the Lions, it’s even more in our favour. Is there a precedent that you are basing #15 on? Can you give an example of a comparable trade that the suns have made in the past?

Why not pick 40+ is like Lyon deal.

You are delusional if you seriously believe that , What does brisbane do if suns say #15 or no deal ?
Brisbane have courted and made a commitment to Ah Chee and his manager and have to get this deal done they can not afford to stuff up by making him go to the draft.

Think about what happened with Prestia and Richmond , Suns wanted #6 and the Tigers wanted prestia but at a later pick like #13-#15 or prestia plus pick for #6.

Lions have locked themself's into an agreement which they must complete , Suns have nothing to lose and a pick in the late 20's/30's means nothing and worth risking
