How is this accepted by the coaches. From a boundary throw in, Sloane kicks it forward about 20m and it's intercepted by that Dons player. There's a bit of delay as McHenry gets around the back of him, he hits up the guy 20m in front of him and in the 8 seconds it takes for that to happen none of our stoppage mids have progressed more than 2m towards the obvious direction the ball is headed. ROB has, he's next seen 20m out from goal while the mids are still loitering at half back. That's our captain and 2 senior types standing around spectating whilst the opposition are setting up an attack from the centreline. And people want to have a crack at out backline players. Even if they're banking on winning possession, wouldn't you work to get separation from those opposition players? Just awful stuff. Drop those 3.

Out: Doedee, Frampton, McHenry
In: Worrell, Walker, Lynch

Himmelberg stays out, Hamill stays in.

With 3/4 of a season of exposed form now there's quite a few players in the squad I'm  about, selection is getting pretty difficult. Do we really drop Davis after half a game? (seems unfair) Are Hamill and Rowe doing enough? (no) Can Tariek play AFL this year? (doubtful) Is McPherson worth a reprieve? (unconvinced) Are Cook and Gollant ready to take on an increasingly isolated role as we slide down the ice? (maybe) Has Fogarty earned a recall? (definitely not) Is it better to prove Lynch 'still has it', a guy who has Geelong top up player written all over him in 72 point bold? (potentially)

Well, we just have to get back to be the hardest two way running midfield

ROB carrying a back injury got on his bike to get into a defensive position. Those 3 guys should be ashamed of themselves. Imagine being a mid and basically standing shoulder to shoulder with another mid as your opponents have possession and are about to move the ball into their 50. Total joke if thats the type of effort that Nicks and VB think we can't go without.

If Tex is available, then Fogarty rather than Lynch should come into our forward line... with the forward Frampton experiment at an end. Selectors more likely to bring in Tex & Lynch though.

Worrell has to be Doedee's replacement & given a better go for a remainder of the season.

There is 0 chance that Strachan gets a game unless ROB is injured.

Even if injured we'd still play ROB. Like Jacobs before him, he thrives on continuity.

So, some interesting news I heard recently.

Doedee was subbed out of the game due to blurred vision - he was not concussed. In fact he passed the concussion test at the time and later that night.
He felt fine the next day and has been fine ever since, consistently passing all concussion tests.

BUT the AFL have declared that he must enter concussion protocols. Doedee is pissed because he has to run through a series of tests throughout the next 12 days and can't do main group trainings, even though he has zero concussion symptoms. They didn't like the look of the collision.

Isn’t blurred vision a concussion symptom?

Good news that he wasn't concussed.

Hope we get to see Worrell or McAsey this week.

He said on AA this morning he passed all the tests.

Then said a mutual decision between medical staff, coaches and him not to not play.

I guess if we were in the 8 or cusp of, he would play.

It is ok. I personally put the AFL executive on concussion protocols for the foreseeable future.

I too suspect the AFL of brain damage

That is definitely not true. He's pissed he was put on concussion protocols.
