So all that huffing and puffing from Kenny saying they will do a fair trade was nothing but hot air.
He said Port offer a fair deal. he did not say Essendon would accept it. He said you get a 10 yr player at pick 16-17 and that is a fair trade.
Maybe a pick from 1-10 but at 16 onwards is nothing but a lucky dip.
Has he played at all this year?

7 sport reporter who broke the news originally that Ryder wanted out, although he did say to Brisbane. Was loudly criticised at the time.
I'd say he's probably got a connection in to Ryder.
If Port really have offered a decent trade (17 and Moore) then at some stage it makes sense they start to push the get out clause.

However ASADA have just issued infraction notices that we are unable to defend and we have already pleaded guilty and accepted penalties for poor governance.
Judge: What number will you wear at Port Adelaide Mr Ryder?
I hope Essendon are stubborn idiots and Ryder walks out by way of the get out clause, would be just another dumb decision by the EFC and would serve them right.

Essendon receive compo pick 20 for Ryder
Port Trade pick 16 and 72 for picks 50 and 68
Essendon receive 16, 20 and 72 for Ryder, 50 and 68.
Complete rort of FA of course... hopefully a deal like this ends the compensation... St Kilda did this with Dal Santo last year just a lot more covertly

Love the out of the square thinking, but if Ryder excuses his right to get out of contract, he is consider a delisted free agent. Therefore, no compo.
Last two picks 16s Port has had were Lobbe and Pittard, both of whom will play 200 games. Not a lucky dip with competent recruiting.

He remains in contract until then - like any other free agent.
Waite and Higgins are still contracted to their old clubs for another 3-4 weeks

Not sure about that - the Jared Brennan deal had this sort of stink about it
Lachlan Veale might need to be thrown in to sweeten the deal
