My favourite part is Nicks stating that he considers many factors during selection each week when he clearly doesn't.

It's been unchanged for 3 games now.

Wouldn't matter if it's against the hawks in Tassie in monsoon weather, Suns up in gc when it's hot and humid, or against the worst team at AO on a nice warm day. Nicks selects the exact same 22 barring injuries.

On that interchange bench you'd have to assume that Soligo is safe, and with Milera just signing a three-year extension he's safe as well. So that means two players + sub have to come from Pedlar, Taylor, Draper, Dowling, Berry and Nankervis.

We under estimated at how poor Nicks is in regards to player management. 2023 was our clue, its our fault for getting our hopes up.

I certainly got hopefully we were going to be smart about. First two games looked so promising with Tex/Rankine subbed early.

I guess though it's easy to make the easy decision when you are up 8 goals.

Personally - I just don't think Milera is the best option as our rebounding HBF alongside Hinge. I would much prefer Cumming back there.

Also - I think extending a player like Milera for 3 years is a silly move. He is 28 this year and over the past 5 seasons has only played more than 12 games ONCE! The same reason is I applauded the club for letting Doedee walk is the exact same reason I disagree with the club extending Milera 3 years.

Well obviously it's not fine for everyone to have opinions. I had mine and you said it was aggressive, that I acted like it was fact and you obviously weren't happy because it went agains the coaches (whose process we need to trust).

For whatever it's worth I believe Walker said he would be rested, either this week or next. So I'd assume if he plays against the Eagles he's out against Sydney.

Can see the argument for either, would probably prefer he was rested this week and played against Sydney, who will be a more challenging opponent. That will involve extra travel, though.

C'mon - come and join us in 2025! Managing players is extremely common place for everyone but Adelaide.

In Round 9 alone - 7 players from 4 different clubs were managed. Geelong, Collingwood, Gold Coast and Hawthorn all regularly do it.
