North raiding the competition and picking the best half dozen or so players might have something to do with it. According to Champion Data, 3 of the players we picked up pre-trade were ranked above average or better, compared to 10 for North.
And then North complained with the draft picks they were allocated, especially not happy that we got 3 in the top 10

The AFL/AFLW told them to grow up as they went hard raiding the other clubs and couldn't honestly expect to then be able to have dibs at the best available youngsters also

Understand what happened and, to some degree, think sticking with local fair will be a good choice going forward however, I wonder whether our list building team may have looked a bit harder at some standout talent. The standout talent on our list, outside of the brief glimpse of nina morrison which promised lots for the future, just isn’t up to most of the other teams. Love to see a midfield with cranston and morrison in the same though - think they’ll complement each other nicely.

That passage of play encompassed everything wrong with the team at the moment. Work so hard getting the ball down the ground, yet grubber a kick inside 50 and the Crows run it down the ground with ease.

How do you see the two respective methods have worked out?
Will be seen after this season when the new clubs come in and can take players, will the North players hang around. Our list is mainly built on players from around the Geelong area so would be less inclined to leave

Crows have more pace that our Girlz, but that last passage of play from D50 picked up the pace!

Yay!!! Rocky? Was that Rocky? Rocky to Darby?

EDIT: Yes, saw in replay

Someone sneezes in the immediate vicinity of Erin Phillips and she gets a free.
Yeah she is without doubt a gun but there is a bit of the Adam Goodes about how she is umpired the moment she is in the vicinity of the ball
