Port has only defeated one team in the Top 8 - Freo in Perth.

They lost to:
Collingwood - 3rd
Adelaide - 4th
Fremantle - 6th
Brisbane - 7th
Richmond - 8th

Port travelled to China, then to Perth last week, one month away. Port demolished StK by 70 points, but played badly against Freo, shutting down Q4 + not scoring - will that travelling affect them?

Port have played lower crowd attracting teams at home this Season. Rd14 is the first of four straight games at home.

Port are ahead of Geelong in some important stats.

In an interview, Scott said he mentioned their post-Bye losses in a team meeting + 33% of players had no idea about it.

This may come as a huge shock for many posters - Kane Cornes is tipping a Port win 🙀🙀🙀

Boak is third in Supercoach + is one of the recommendations for Supercoach Captain.

Positives for Geelong:
Port's Forward line is not a big score kicking team, which could make it difficult against Geelong's Defence, which is the best in the AFL. Rozee is their leading goal kicker with 15, then Sam Gray with 13. Port's two smalls are leading the goal kicking, but have not even kicked 30 between them. Whereas Hawkins has 35 + Ablett 22. Dixon may not be fit enough to finish the game, meaning his impact may dwindle. Ryder is not a natural Forward, kicking only 12 goals so far. Boak + RGray are playing more in the Midfield with Rockliff injured. With Blitz on Dixon + Taylor on Ryder - Stewart, O’Connor + Tuohy can cover their opponents.

Negatives for Geelong:
Port are #1 in the League for Contested Possessions
Averages:
Boak - 15.17
Rockliff - 13.30
R Gray - 11.56
Compared to:
Dangerfield - 13.36
Kelly - 13.17
Parfitt - 10.09
Port need to win the game in the Midfield, by matching Geelong + preventing us getting the ball Forward.

It will be a huge shock for many posters, but Kane Cornes is tipping Port to win 🙀🙀🙀
Whereas Bill Shorten is tipping Geelong by 20 points, which should make some happy.
Then there are those of us who DGAF.

I was at the 2016 match, it was awesome too! 😺
I’ll tip us by 15 points. 👍🏼

Thats a hell of a team with rockliff marshall to come back
Im hoping dixon wines and ebert are rusty

Geelong by 6 goals

Wonder if we will give Motlop a bit of attention?
If he continues in the same form as recent weeks then his opponent may even forget he's on the ground

He'll get no more attention or special attention than any other Port player and that's the way it should be

No...Guthrie hasn't been dropped because he deserves his place.

Playing ok atm, so yeah, but there's a strong argument that it hasn't always been the case.

He seems more intent on moving the ball forward these days, is more composed with his use of the ball, and appears to have more desire for the physical contest.

Long may it continue.

Fun fact: We haven't lost in any of Harry's milestone games.

1st game - beat Essendon by 99 points.
50th game - beat Sydney by 67 points.
100th game - beat GWS by 65 points (the game Harry played forward and kicked 6)
150th game - beat Bulldogs by 13 points.
200th game - beat Richmond by 4 points.

The trajectory is a bit of a worry though.

I actually almost feel bad for the Port supporters. They are sickened by his efforts, and baffled at how he continues to get a game.

For those last couple of years, I myself truly wondered how he could look blokes like Selwood in the eye each day.
To be honest, although he wasn't perfect, he was much better for us than he has been for Port.

This is the first time we have played Geelong without a player from the 2007 Grand Final in the side.
