Injury SACK DOCTORS 1 - CTE

Felt weird clapping Aliir back on bloke was out for the count for a bit there

Jones played no further part did he? So no problem there.

Aliir on the other hand folded up like an accordion, he should have been off for 20 minutes.
Will be an issue if he plays next week after being labelled as a “migraine”.

AFL will nip that in the bud real quick though I would’ve thought.

Doc decided he didn't need a head injury assessment lol

Can only assume he was pissed and couldn't actually see the replays

I was concerned to see Aliir come back on so soon, that was a shocking clash. :( Feel like the Docs have done him a disservice. I realise it would suck to lose him for the rest of the game and/or the game after but shouldn't his health be a priority? Hope both blokes are ok. :(

Dr mark fisher is an excellent doctor. I’ve seen him several times before and rate him highly. I trust him more than Dunstall, roo and all the general public sheep that follow the media narrative.
You don't need there narrative to see both players were limp before hitting the ground.

Time is coming when AFL will need to assign independent doctors to games, at great cost no doubt.
But as usual the AFL thinks that testing after the fact is an adequate response. The damage is potentially done after the incident.
That's not the way acting on safety issues works. See the problem, resolve the problem.

Two players clearly and obviously collide heads, with both looking knocked out/dazed afterwards, and we do no head impact assessment? Anybody involved in the decision to send Aliir back on should be sacked tonight. What a farcical and dangerous thing to do, and what a s**t thing to do to Aliir.

I am not saying this to be inflammatory, but I would not be surprised to hear that Greg Griffin has both players and or their families signed up as Spec Matter clients come Monday. A disaster waiting to happen for the AFL (let's face it they are paying the damages either way)

Hopefully every collision in a game of football is this heavily scrutinised moving forward for balance.

the collision itself is not at all the problem here

Yeah slow motion makes things look worse than they are.

I’ll trust our docs over Roo and the commentators

The NFL - who only a couple of years back put $5bn in a fund for head injury compensation - won’t let team doctors get involved at all in head injury assessments during games; why do you think that is?

You certainly can.

And this involved an unaffiliated neurotrauma specialist, with no team associations

Mate seriously * off

You dont care about this beyond the fact it A) involves Port doing the wrong thing and B) It was a showdown where you pulled our pants down and slapped us slilly while we giggled and sipped bathwater

You have your own board to jerk off to go back there
