Not seeing what the big deal is with King. He is a luxury. Gold campaigners ring him up and offer him massive sheets to stave of some of the media heat, he talks to his family and manager and they advise him (wisely) to secure the bag, if it turns out that he wants to leave before 2022, he is still able to do that. If he doesn't, no biggy. His better rated clone brother is already a saints player. People were getting a bit too much wood about the situation due to the reunion angle. The midfield is still ordinary and he's not a midfielder.
What will actually win games next year is securing blokes like Hill and Howard, also Jones, and Butler, who is underrated. I don't think Colin Young will allow the trade to fall apart. Probably will end up in mediation, and hopefully he is forked over for his real value here, which is 12, and and pick in the 20s. Just wait until wednesday and it will have all been sorted. Do not want Acres involved whatsoever, he would be treated as steak knives, which means it would be more worthwhile to keep him and give him a fair run at it under Ratten. The shape of the list and the way the next two drafts seem to be lining up means we can use picks to move the list forward, instead of chopping players for other players, which won't raise its quality as much. If the club is going to be make a flag tilt in the next few years, the core of that team will already be on the list in 2020. Get those trades done and we're away
