Would love to see Dave Cunningham have a far greater influence on this game. His contributions have been positive but he just seems to be cruising and he could be doing so much more. Might need him to be helping us out in the middle quite a bit today. He needs to up his pressure acts and things may start to happen for him from there.

This Carlton team is missing just a few too many for the Saints, for mine. Especially as the Saints are a specialist indoors side. I’d be a lot less worried if this was at the ‘G. Boys will have to play another solid four quarters here to win.

Very nervous. Go Blues!!

I'd love to be feeling a little more optimistic about today's game.. but I look at our side and the holes on each line are getting bigger every week.

McGovern loss is significant. We're going in very small down back. Gave up a lot of marks close to goal last week which we haven't done all year. Potential to be worse this week without Gov.

Midfield rotations are starting to look pretty ordinary if Acres, Fisher, Hollands are doing regular time in there.

We're missing an option for the long bail out kick down the line. Pitto/TDK resting at CHF didn't seem to give us anything last week. McKay's the best in the business for this.

Forward line is TINY. Zac Fisher inclusion still puzzles me. Will be shocked if Honey is sub.. how many small forwards do you need!?

Need a massive bag from Charlie. A 3 vote game from Cripps. And the backline to stand up.
The good news is our backline has been standing up brilliantly.

Charlie and Cripps have also.

We still get caught up in individuals and what they bring.

This game will be won through pressure and system.

If we wait for individuals to get us over the line - same result as last time around.

was building nicely but had a poor one last week against the Pies. Looked to have heavy legs when around the ball and seemed to lose a bit of power.

big fan of what Cunners can do so hoping to see him have a big one this arvo

This is a brilliant opportunity to test our “whole” rather than hoping individuals have a cracker.

I’m sure Voss would be driving this into the team as he has been since he arrived - play our way, intense pressure, take the game on.

Pivotal game , pressure is well and truely on - will we handle it as a team, or wait for others to stand up.

Battle of the 2 Carlton’s.

I’m backing out system and pressure to create opportunities to win, as we’ve done the past 6 weeks.

PS - Saint Kilda has been streaky shyte over the same period - why are they all of a sudden world beaters??

He has been gliding - such is the life of a HFF.

Stick him in the guts!

One of Fisher or Fogarty will most likely play full time minutes on ball.

Agree. But system will only take you so far without want and intent. If we bring that across the field and don't go into safety mode we can do it. Still enough talent there.
Camon Blues.

It’s Cerra missing that hurts. He is the midfield polish. We’re down to grunt and system. They’ll plonk 2 defenders on Charlie so we need to continue finding other options - Martin, TDK/Pitto, Owies, Mots. Would be great too if Cripps can hit the scoreboard. Marshall and Owens are very dynamic so Pitto is really gonna have to physically dominate.

Because they always treat us like their Grand Final

I'd argue Cerra and Walshy. Either one would be great. But don't forget the form Kennedy was in before injury.

Then there's SOS who found a good place onfield.
Of all the teams that could really fire if in finals
I reckon it's us.
Ladder possie won't stop us.

No doubt all of the others missing improve us. It's just from last week, even with losing Gov, i would've felt better if we at least had Cez. Anyway, it is what it is and this is a good test for us.

Our run thus far is ominous given the injuries we have. If we can sneak into the 8 as we start to get key players back, then we have the potential to do some damage. But I won't get ahead of myself because there's still a lot to be done to even make finals.
