Will we make Finals in 2019? Yes, but only just. I wavered a bit on this but ultimately I think with those 9 games in Geelong we should make it.

- Who will retire end of 2019? Taylor, S.Selwood and GAJ. That last one will annoy me greatly. I don't think Ablett should retire yet, but players I want to go on always seem to retire too early (this is a pet peeve of mine) so on that irrational basis I'm going to guess he'll hang up the boots.

- Who could be traded out end of 2019 and who should we be targeting? Kelly will be traded obviously. I would be fine with us not targeting anyone at the end of the year as I think in the medium-term we should be aiming to make a big play at a quality key forward to act as our Hawkins replacement, and if we want that to happen we need to open up cap space.

- Who will win our B&F? Dangerfield (if this happens we'll definitely make finals IMO. Danger's small dip in form last year has gone under the radar among Cats fans somewhat as a talking point; it's almost like we've somehow forgotten that we have the best or second best player in the competition on our list. I don't think it's unreasonable to assert that we should be expecting him to deliver output commensurate to that ability. Yes he was still good last season but in 2016-17 he was out-of-this-world-amazing and if that's what he's capable of I see no reason to expect less).

- Who will be our most improved youngster (someone under 23 years of age)? Narkle

- Which of our new TRADE recruits will improve us the most ? Dahlhaus.

- Which of our new draftees will develop/show the best signs in 2019 whether that be in the VFL or the AFL side? The only one I've seen play is Atkins. So him, I guess.

- What will the Ruck setup be? Rotation all year. Stanley the most commonly used but still no settled setup. General mediocrity all round.

- Which player (anyone) will surprise us most? Positive surprise: Dahlhaus will be better than expected and the general consensus will be that he was a good recruitment. Negative surprise: Parfitt's development will be slower than the majority of Cats fans seem to anticipate.

- Best/Most Consistent Defender in 2019? Stewart

- Best/Most Consistent Midfielder in 2019? Dangerfield (hopefully)

- Best/Most Consistent Forward in 2019? LOL. Not exactly a difficult choice given we only have one good forward. Hawkins.

But of the Geel young players - who have you great expectations of - Jack Henry by a mile - and i wouldnt mind them playing him as a forward

Also of the draftees - the one im looking forward most to see how he goes is Jacob Kennerley - i reckon he could be Joel Corey the 2nd

- Will we make Finals in 2019? Forecast is cloudy with a chance of anything. I could see us finishing anywhere from top 4 to 12th. Lets say 2nd for optimisms sake.

- Who will retire end of 2019? Harry Taylor, Scott Selwood, Gary Ablett

- Who could be traded out end of 2019 and who should we be targeting? Will probably lose Kelly regardless but if by some miracle he wants to stay we keep. Otherwise Cam Guthrie, Bews, Menagola and Parsons are all quite expendable at this point. Ins? Not sure who will be available but age is catching up with us on every line of the ground so anybody under 25 with ability.

- Who will win our B&F? Danger will with a return to form followed closely by Duncan.

- Who will be our most improved youngster (someone under 23 years of age)? Cockatoo if he can get on the track other wise I think Narkle looks the goods. Henry will be our best again though but the kids already a gun in my books so less room for improvement.

- Which of our new TRADE recruits will improve us the most ? Dahlhaus quite easily.

- Which of our new draftees will develop/show the best signs in 2019 whether that be in the VFL or the AFL side? I have high hopes for Nathan Krueger

- What will the Ruck setup be? Stanley with Big Sav for support.
