Recommitted Mitch McGovern [contracted and staying at Carlton]

Just think football list managers over complicate things.

He's not likely to get anything in the top 3 rounds. He's steak knives in any player deal, and you have to probably pay him something anyway while he runs for another club.

Why not just go, yeah he kicked 52 goals in 36 games across 2016-17, and he's got McKay and Curnow taking most of his attention, let's give Voss a chance to play him as a 3rd tall dragging away the intercepting defender from McKay. Any 4th rounder is a few years from doing that, and the chances are still slimmer of that happening than it is McGovern kicking 25 goals in 20 games as the 3rd option.

McGovern likely to be included in trade to help get the Cerra deal done
If that’s the case I can see a Rhys Palmer style salary dump situation. Give a slightly stronger draft hand to Freo in return for taking a big salary off their books.

Carltons first, second, McGovern for Cerra would be the likely deal.

Personally I believe the deal gets done without McGovern, but this poster seems
to have the news on Carlton players.

If McGovern is involved in any way, we are getting both Carlton’s firsts to take that huge dump off their hands.
Salary and player 🤢

McGov is a phenomenal player when fit. Would be a great asset for your team. Please take him.

i think you mean he'll bring the steak knives cause he heard there was a good (big) feed on offer

How about straight swap Mitch and Cerra. Happy days.
We can even throw in a flying pig and unicorn.
But in all seriousness we should just keep him and use him as a third forward. He's never going to get the best defenders on him with Curnow and Harry up there so if he gets a bit of fitness in him and takes 2022 seriously we could get a few cheeky goals out of him. Or at least forward pressure to bring the ball to the ground.
Hopefully ...... Maybe.......

Probably not though..
