The thread has had a bit of a clean up.

I think we can talk about Jai in here, without doing a deep dive on what other players are doing.

In Newcombe’s last 4 games:

Vs Eagles - 28 disposals, 12 kicks, 13 contested, 6 score involvements, 4 marks, 391 metres gained, 5 clearances, 4 tackles & 4 inside 50s at 68% DE.

Vs North - 30 disposals, 13 kicks, 15 contested, 2 goals, 7 score involvements, 3 marks (1 contested), 580 metres gained, 9 clearances, 3 tackles & 7 inside 50s at 73% DE.

Vs St Kilda* (* while being tagged) - 21 disposals, 12 kicks, 11 contested, 2 goals, 7 score involvements, 7 marks (1 contested), 315 metres gained, 2 clearances, 3 tackles & 1 inside 50 at 52% DE

Vs Gold Coast - 27 disposals, 11 kicks, 11 contested, 3 score involvements, 7 marks, 400 metres gained, 3 clearances, 1 tackle & 3 inside 50s at 77% DE.

Averages of:
26.5 disposals per game (12 kicks per game) at 68% DE
12.5 contested possessions per game
1 goal per game
6 score involvements per game
5 marks per game (0.5 contested)
421 metres per game
5 clearances per game
3 tackles per game
4 inside 50s per game

His last month has had ball winning, winning it himself, but also receiving it, in both he’s getting it forward and being involved with scoring big time as the damaging midfielder, getting forward and kicking goals, taking his marking to another level in taking big marks around the ground and overall having a damn good month.

Top 20 in league for the AFLCA voting.

AKA. The only part of the leaderboard they publish each week.

Was looking around for a league wide count, is there one published anywhere?

Otherwise it's a do your own math and wait for Monday proposition. No idea why they wouldn't publish a full league list that was searchable by team.

The publish the week by week votes on the AFLCA and AFL websites (AFLCA will be easier to find in one spot). You'd need to go through and tally manually to find anyone outside the top 20.

I too would like to see the whole leaderboard available. As well as being able to see which coach voted for which players. It would give greater insight into which players are doing their role as instructed and who coaches think were the biggest issue for them (when they vote for opposition players).

What annoys me is there's nothing stopping them from having a full list.

Obviously Sicily and Newcombe have been excellent and are the ones rated as elite by our and opposition coaches this year. Moore very good but probably Gunston/Lewis next in line given each have missed plenty of games. They'd be top 50 if they had not. CJ also missed a lot of footy.

The low votes for the likes of Mitchell and O'Meara who have played nearly all games says a lot also.
Great to see the young blokes at the top. Newcombe, Moore, Lewis, CJ. Love it.

11 of those 15 will still be at Hawthorn in 6-7 years time.

He'd be behind Brayshaw, Walsh, and Bailey Smith you'd think.
Rekon he has had a better year than Walsh. Walsh has been solid without being great like last year. He also has alot more support than Newk. Imagine how good Newk will be when we get quality depth in our midfield and we bat deep. Need Worps to turn it around next year to go along with Ward and McDonald emerging.
