He’s leaving for Geelong everyone said and stuff

Wooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrps!!!!! You blardy ripper
Who said that? There were quite a few on here that thought he would want to go simply because he played for the Falcons. But so did Hodgey.

Good news, though.

Err, Five B&F, Brownlow, multiple AA, and four Premierships, including one as captain, leading the side during a period of extended success?

I'd probably settle for that.
They mean Burton, a career like Sam's, however....

Dangle the captaincy in front of him in 2 years time so he doesn't get tempted by the dark side!!

No need: most people try desperately to get OUT of Geelong.

He's not going back to that heap!

Great news! But just to re-iterate , it was geelong who tried to convince him a couple of times not Worpel looking to get out.

Great news.

Plenty of talented players in the the comp but not many come in and look like a leader from the get go and this guy shows great leadership potential. Tough, physical, strong and competitive. Can't wait to see him explode this year with increased opportunity in the midfield.

We haven’t had a midfielder show so much talent (and chutzpah) in his first year since Jordan Lewis way back in 2004 at pick 7! Worpel outmanouvering and showing no fear against Selwood reminded me of Lewis shaping up to Michael Voss in his first year. No doubting that the kid is special. We are slowly becoming unsociable again coupled with some much needed leg speed.

Future looks good
