A while ago i suggested giving this number to a rookie pick, because then there is not much to lose if the 'curse' strikes. A case of great minds thinking alike maybe?

RIP Derick Wanganeen
When we are talking superstition can we keep rip out of it
I think you can break another curse Wangas!
In the last 40 odd years, only one player has played more than 10 games wearing #36.
Barry Young ran out (or hobbled out) 13 times in season 2000. Gene Chiron appeared in #36 for 33 matches from 1968 to 1972. Then you go back to the late 1950's (1956-1960) when Brian Falconer appeared in 57 matches wearing #36. Finally, Wally Nash wore #36 for 12 matches in season 1954.
That is four players that have worn #36 in 10 matches or more. Four !
zapNo such thing as a curse
Speak for yourself, mate. I'm not taking on the curse. It has to be attached to a goat and sent into the wilderness.
Suspect he and Frawley will be fighting it out for 12 and 21.Would be good to re-ignite the awesomeness of 44. Can't believe we wasted that revered number to Garlett (although I liked it at the time). Maybe we could give it to O'Rourke.
Sorry...........
The CURSE is far to powerful!!
But Brett Goodes is a decent bloke, unlike his campaigner brotherCan't we draft Goodes and give it to him?
12,21,34,36,44 are all vacant.
Number 1 is dedicated to the fans?Number 1 should be as well.
