Traded Dion Prestia [traded to Richmond with pick 24 for pick 6 and 2017 second rounder]

Its not inconcievable the Tiges could wind up with a pick under 24 next year. Bottom five finish does it.

They shouldve grabbed GCS 3rd rounder (44) back at least. Its not like GCS will be using it anyway.
Splitting hairs though. The nuts and bolts are that Prestia, an uncontracted player, has basically been valued at 6-8 in the draft. Prestia is a good player, but that's overs.

Agree, Richmond should've got something else back.

I think that Gold Coast gave away pick 44 to someone or are at least trying to give it away for someone in another deal. Hence, it wouldn't have been available for us.

Prestia was not worth 6-8 in the draft.

Richmond could fold in 10 years

They'll need that pick for either Lyons and or the Witts trade.

Plus he's used to losing so should fit right in. Will have to comfort himself with the massive cut of the Tigs salary cap he will be banking for the next 5 years.

You've ****ed us in the arse and done very well, but try to have a little class about it.

We're not the dickheads who did the trade, and kicking us in the head while down is overkill

The amount of Richmond fans in this thread cracking it at Gold Coast for being unreasonable probably deserves a bit back now that you've been screwed.

No lube, spit, or even a courtesy lick
Commiserations mate.

Let's compare. You got Prestia for 6. We lost Mitchell for 14. Who got shafted harder?

On the bright side, we can't take the title of trade-week loser. Hawks have got that sewn up good and tight.

Thanks to Richmond we have legitimate cause to switch clubs.

No decent supporter could watch Prestia running around for their club after that deal.

Its like spitting on a player, and Frawley requested the fan come in and hand their membership back, we now have the right to abandon the club if we choose IMO!!

Its a bonafide microwave moment that really deserve a torture response like the guy in Pulp Fiction getting reamed up the bate and putting the home boys to action with the pipes and a blowtorch, medieval style, on the locals!!

Not all of us though, happy for our trolls to cop a whack

I wouldve thought Lyons is worth pick 26.
They'll still have to think of something to give up for Witts, nd it'll be one of their future second rounders, unless they get something back for the O'Meara trde other then pick 10.

Dont be shocked to see us trade the Suns [5 and 25] for [8 and 10] (assuming the Omera deal goes through).

Sets up GCS with 4, 5 and 6 (before Bowes gets bid on) and then they can pay for Bowes with a bunch of second rounders.

Understand the logic but I'd be surprised if the Suns did it.

It started off with you saying they won't need 44, now your just going on and on about the 1,000 scenarios. Whether or not Carlton can get some good first round picks, I'd be surprized if they didn't stuff them up. They have good form. Suns can do pick swaps with other clubs, including Essendon.

McLuggage is going to the Dons at 1. McGrath to GWS at 2 and SPS to the Lions at 3. English to Freo at 7.

Picks 4, 5 and 6 to GCS lets them take 3 x best available and match a bid against Bowes that likely wont come in till the teens (assuming Carlton agree not to bid on him at 8 or 10).

Bowes is touted as top 3 on talent by some, and likely top 5 or so. It would be a massive win for them.

We can work into the deal an assurance that the Suns let a player though to us at 8 that we really want as well.

It's a win/ win.

"Richmond has secured talented midfielder, Dion Prestia from the Gold Coast Suns on a five-year contract, in exchange for pick six in this year’s National AFL Draft, and Richmond’s future second round selection in the 2017 Draft.

The Club also receives the Suns’ second round selection, no. 24 in the 2016 Draft as part of the deal. ... "
