My take on the game.

It was a fierce and even contest, until just after half-way through the second quarter, by which time the Hawthorn players realised they were hopelessly outclassed. They then tried to go what passes for the 2016 version of 'the bash'. They proved themselves hopeless at that as well. They then spent the rest of the game just making up the numbers and playing at being witches' hats. If only their coach had spent more time teaching them how to be the thug he was, the result would have been exactly the same.
