As of right now which player can your team least afford to lose?

Nankervis. Our only other options are Soldo, Hampson and Chol

Grigg too.

Ours would be Mitchell or McEvoy or Sicily i think, but it wouldn't matter much as Clarko has a way of replacing players, avoiding over reliance.

no Port posters yet - probably obvious we already lost ours (Ryder). i wouldn't like to imagine losing Wines or Dixon for obvious reasons

I can only imagine if the few top end talent of Carlton get an injury. Curnow, Cripps, Kreuzer and Murphy ( Who has already had 1 week off). Imagine that team against a fully fit Sydney team @ the SCG or GWS. Jesus.

Docherty. If not him Murphy. If not him, if Kruezer strained a muscle and plays 50% for weeks on end as our back up rucks injured anyway. Lucky for us, none of that will happen after letting Gibbs go.

Thanks Perthboy, oops sorry Sydneyboy, great thread.

LOL @ Geelong supporters listing everyone except Dangerfield :drunk::drunk::drunk:

Not as funny as a Melbourne supporter who thinks he or she knows more about Geelong's list than Geelong supporters.

To be honest I disagree as while Buddy is important our forward line can function without him, even if it is no where near as scary. Without Sinclair we have no ruck division at all.

That's true, but a team could manufacture a game style without a competent ruckman if the midfield functioned at a high enough level. Even Sinclair just provides an honest contest in the ruck, rather than any kind of advantage.

You don't win many games without a decent forward line. That doesn't mean you have to have a dominant tall forward kicking most of the goals but you do need a legitimately strong target for smaller players to feed off, if that's the way you're going to build your forward line. And even if we had another tall body to stick in the forward line to create a contest, we don't have the quantity or quality of small players that, say, Richmond or Hawthorn have.

So imagine how much Geelong might have beaten Melbourne by in R1 if Dangerfield had played
Ripper call mate :thumbsu:

Dees just unlucky one of five games Ablett's gonna play this year was against us.

But keep patting yourself on the back- you beat Melbourne by three points, very impressive!

Geelong finished 10th the year before Dangerfield was drafted and 3rd the year afterwards.

But keep pretending Geelong have depth if it makes you feel better.

Duncan and Menzel played 24 and 19 games respectively in 2016 (played 11 and 2 in 2015) and Zac Smith took over number one ruck duties from Blicavs in 2016, but nah, all the improvement was because of Danger.

Incisive analysis there o_O
Wasn't meant to be an in-depth list discussion. Just pointing out that any Geelong supporter that thinks arguably the best player in the game is less important than ******* Tom Stewart is an absolute moron.

Um, not sure if you’ve noticed or not but our back 6 at the moment is:

Thuohy, Henry, Bews, Cunico, Kolodjashnij and Stewart.

Our midfield is Selwood, Selwood, Dangerfield, Blicavs, Kelly and Menegola.

So yeah, lol away but at least try and have some concept of what a team needs most.

Thanks to an errant kick from Gawnie.

But in any case we just got hammered by Hawthorn, in the wet, by over 10 goals. Our two victories were against North and Brisbane. Beating us means nothing.

You're not making finals without Dangerfield.

Maybe not.

We aren’t beating anyone with our current back 6 if you take our either of Stewart or Thuohy
