So the 2021 season is officially done and dusted.

It’s time now to fully turn our attention to the off season and what we can do through the trade period/draft to chase down Melbourne in 2022.

List and personnel changes have already been made and I’ll update this OP as and when any further changes are made.

It seems strange picking up a guy in the SSP to replace an LTI to then be put on the list himself. Should be able to just delist him.

If Allen can play again this year, he should, it's important for his development. Sure, if there's a genuine risk, put him on ice for the year. But don't do it because we're s**t and under the pretence he'll be better for 12 months off football.

Mitch Oneil being talked up as a strong mid season pick up. Does anyone have any info on what happened with him and West Coast? Seemed a bit strange at the time to get rid of him so early even though he was injured.

Correct (except it’s the inactive list nowadays).

There’s also the possibility that if someone else goes onto the inactive list, Cole (or Chesser, though that seems unlikely) could be reactivated and play the second half of the season.

The only way I see JK leaving early is if Allen comes back.

Its not about winning games right now.does Kennedy really have to hang around? Its not going to achieve anything having him being banged up any more

No but he probably feels that if he leaves now, he is leaving the club in a hole. Player availability has been poor all year.

I reckon he'll get it this week - I have a good feeling we'll do a 2018 PF again.

Culley is a must for us in the MSD, big bodied modern midfielder who can use the ball well and hit the scoreboard, it’s a no brainer, but I’m expecting the club to stuff it up

Culley, Florenca in the mid season draft. Lure over Robertson in the trade period. Use pick 1 on the best mid in the draft.

Get some competent S&C staff and a slice of luck on the injury front.

We could turn things around relatively quick.

I only heard of Culley an hour or so ago but if we don’t pick him in the mid season draft it’ll be an unforgivable stuffup and the final death knell for the club.

If we had a young tall forward waiting in the wings, then there might be some value in JK shuffling off early. But there's not. Allen is injured and Williams isn't ready, so he might as well take a tall defender, add to his tally and hopefully help us win a game or two to aid in young players' development.
