I agree with the list management bit but it's you and your mates which keep the spreading fairytales (trolling) about a rift which make you look desperate to paint a negative spin on your older brother rather than look at the facts, but whatever floats your boat.

Your list manager Jason Cripps needs to be sacked

This whole thing is a dogs dinner and signing lobbe and HH last year was just as bad

I reckon with what has happened it would almost be impossible for him to continue to play there, your hope at a first pick lays with where he wants to go, whether it be Vic or SA or elsewhere.

You are clearly shopping him yet he is contracted so must agree, if he doesnt want to leave Adelaide it sort of restricts your chances of getting anything great. And it seems pretty certain to throw a player out there and with the issues with boak and him, he will simply will move on, as I am sure the club wont want the unrest it could cause.

The cap relief may help and encourage a lesser deal.

Oh well......................................

While there has been suggestions the club are under massive salary cap stress, according to the SEN Inside Football trade correspondent their issues are similar to many others.

“Not as bad as what has been reported. I think that there’s salary cap stress at most clubs and that they’re no different to a lot of others,” said Anderson on SEN Afternoons.

what no way!! crazy talk we are bursting even tho other teams are paying between 95% and 100% just like, well every god damn team lol

As you should know, there is a huge difference between how much a club is paying & who they are paying & for how long. & you should also know that once a club has tied itself into knots with it's TPP, that it makes a huge difference in how they can approach any trade period, how aggressive they can be or whether they just need to bend over while other clubs go in dry.

Enjoy.

Hahaha yes but let's see how he goes next year

If he fails miserably like this year he will play in the two's on 600k per year no team can afford that and still make finals to have their top paid players in the magoos

Did you listen to Chris Davies ducking a weaving at the utensil up on Adelaide radio

The faithful last bastion of Big Footy in the celebration on hypotheticals, well done young man:thumbsu:

If we can offload Lobbe next week and convert a few others into picks/draftees we will have plenty of room.

our salary cap position is being vastly, vaaaaaaaaaastly over-stated on here. we are feeling the squeeze but no more than half of the clubs in the comp. It would of course still be nice to dump a big salary but that will almost definitely be happening with Lobbe.

I thought Port were doing this to get low picks, you will have to give clubs a pick to take Lobbe

Who? How?

You just saw that there's no interest in Hartlett. Less in Lobbe. What do you think Amon is gonna get you?

If you want to convert into any reasonable pick you're going to have to part with a better player than HH.

To throw a spanner in the works I heard it wasn't that HH turned down big offers to remain at Port. Apparently HH was keen on Essendon but they didn't appear as keen on him in return.
I think Essendon's interest dwindled when Watson recommitted. But it could also be a simple as Port wanting a first round pick & Essendon not willing to give up pick #1 to work out a deal for him.

So obvious none of the clubs Hammer was looking at were prepared to offer up a first rounder for him.

Port were not prepared to pay part of his salary and NOT get a first rounder in return.

End result: "We never wanted him to leave and we are glad Hamish will be part of our club going forward"

People around footy clubs overrate their own, Port and Hartlett thought that if he was put on the open market teams would come chasing him.
This is a good reality check for Hartlett, maybe just maybe he will put his head down and work his arse off to become the player he already thinks he is.
Hartlett must be feeling pretty crap right now.

Spot on.

Yes, Port have a cap squeeze, and they went and shopped a player they thought would net them a first rounder, possibly even top 10 pick.

The reality is no one was paying more than a very late first rounder at best, and even that was a bit rich.
