Bad. Very bad.

Did we actually replace campo with any sort of coach. Two biggest midfield smashings I've seen in the last two games. Set ups have somehow managed to get worse.

McAsey tough first game. Literally did one thing right and everything else wrong.

Smith and Milera were near invisible? Keayes looks like such a nothing player and Crocker is another tryer.

Still hard to get a read on Jones and McHenry. Not exactly coming into a team with any sort of functionality.

Pretty much everyone played terribly except for O'Brien, who was probably close to bog. He was actually outstanding.
McHenry promising. Will get used to the speed of the game then be very good.
Jones improved as the game went on. Elite runner who just needs a couple of summers to get that body strength to play inside midfield. Right now he's more of a get given the ball type player who doesn't get enough of it. But when that inside stuff improves he should be a good player.

Huuuggggeeee difference between picking 1 and 2 and picking where we have the last two years. Pick 1 gets you a Matt Rowell. Pick 9 gets you Chayce Jones.
We have traded away Lever, Cameron and McGovern and what has that resulted in, Gibbs and ???
Compared to port that traded Wingard and polec got got what?

High draft picks don't mean anything its what you do with the one you have.

I don't disagree with you but what do we have left after that? the likes of Gallucci, Poholke, Jones, Mchenry, Hamill. Our drafting has been shocking the last four years, not sure we have a solid afl footballer amount them.
We haven't drafted a decent midfielder since Matt Crouch, in 2013. 7 ****ing year without drafting a single decent mid. No wonder we have one of, if not the outright, worst midfield in the competition.

Our current situation is the result of repeated seasons - in fact, a solid decade - of "clinging on" to W/L results every season, rather than continually rejuvinating the list and exposing youth for extended periods of time and trading aggressively even when playing well. Most other clubs do this, particularly the successful ones.

The club is in a very deep hole. We've had bad seasons in the past but had a relatively strong core of players to get us out of it, albeit briefly. We don't have that here at all.

Ultimately we'll get Pick 1 or 2 for the first time and it will probably be largely ineffective to us because we don't have the culture or coaching to benefit.

The club deserves everything that is coming.
Disagree, we were meant to be still premiership contention for another 3-4 years after 2017, this would have allow us to transition the players we lost last season slowly out of the side (like most team do), we weren't contending but Pyke hung onto them too long while he was losing games hoping to scrap into the 8. This didn't happen and we were forced to do what we did last year, hence now we are in a massive hole trying to get games into a lot more youngster all at the same time.

You clearly didn't understand the post.

We won't get that for him, nobody is going to pay that kind of money. End of first round at best.

Continuing to hold onto Brad Crouch year on year despite mounting evidence now contrasting extremely poorly with Port deciding to bite the bullet and trade Wingard and Polec.
Don't think they wanted to loss Wingard......
