Its probably gonna be a dull trade period for 2 reasons....

1. North melbourne is gonna get priority picks for being bad in the last 4 seasons.

2. Father son picks and Academy and Next generation academy picks will push picks back

Unless there are some surprises we don't know yet know about, this is not shaping as an exciting Trade Period.

Grundy is the only quasi A Grader likely to move. The next most notable move looks like an ageing Goldy.

With all due respect to McKay, the interest in his move is driven more about what level of Compo nmfc is to receive. B is for Ben and B Grader.

Seems most players are happy where they are.

Thoughts?

Think you've gone off a bit early.

The season just finished on Saturday.

And the surprise trades always come a bit closer to trade week.

Yep. I'm presuming that poster never did that again..

Nope. This is what trade radio can do to listeners.....

The picks being pushed back means nothing, it doesn't change the pool of players available. It just brings forward the picks of players teams never had access to in the first place, it doesn't change anything.

I'm sure the journos will just throw up names to create content of players who are no chance of leaving a la Bailey Smith.

That'll get some more discussion going for Trade Radio.

Clayton Oliver come on down.

Wonder who it'll be next week.

Unless the journos who specialise in trade & draft and the player agents are wrong, yes it is going to be dull.
Are the journos ever right?
they usually get their “exclusives” from this and forum right?

So any trades done today? Any actual new news?

So far I think more compo picks have been handed out than actual trades completed.

Well, as a Swans fan I can't complain about our business. Quality players like Taylor Adams and Brodie Grundy for peanuts; both of which were needs. And then, Hamling and James Jordan as solid options in positions we need depth in. :thumbsu:
