Australia should win from here but a couple of early wickets tomorrow could make it tough for them.

It clearly hit Williamson's bat and was shown on hotspot, they had no right to be angry, they were just being sooks because it didn't go their way.
Bit rich calling anyone a sook coming from you, never come across a bigger whinger on any thread, on any sport than you Plugger35. What about the HASBEEN McCullum sooking about the ball hitting the grass before the keeper takes the throw from the outfield. You kiwis are worse than the poms by miles.

Khawaja is that graceful it's even a joy to read the descriptions of his shots on Cricinfo

He reminds me of guys we used to produce in the 90's, a Damo Martyn type.

What a player he's turning into.

Could be the new Amla.

Never gets old!!!
Plug's kryptonite too given he's always fapping over mediocre players from NZ.

That will always be the day that Big Brother put those chumps in their place:thumbsu:

It's a shame it's taken so long for him to find his feet. Hopefully he play into his mid 30s

Never heard the MCG louder than that moment. Soon as he was bowled I knew we would win. Game was always McCullum vs Starc.

Starc won :D

Would've been good to have Starc on this tour, McCullum wouldn't score a run
Ever since then Starc has had his number. Shame we won't ever see the match up again

Just watched the replay of the non DRS decision on cricket.com.au, reckon the Aussies had a right to be pissed. The last hotspot that appears is on the corner toe of the bat, yet the ball passed the bat about an inch higher. Unfortunately the front on replay cuts out before the bat completely passes Williamson's toe, but his shoe would have been about the right height.

Damn painful listening to Ian Smith carry on too, absolutely one eyed, also does he expect Steve Smith to walk off the field into the third umpires room to ask that umpire directly? As captain he had every right to speak with the on field ump, but Hazlewood shouldn't have got involved.

Good to see they created a further chance shortly after though. NZ can certainly learn something about not dropping your head and getting on with the game.

Just caught some highlights, still amazes me that in a game they have seemingly in control, Australian players still can't help but sulk and carry on. Just play cricket FFS
Because we aren't robots like your lot, and we are NUMBER 1 unlike your lot. And you'll never get close to us either. YESSSSS

Hazlewood deserved a fine for sure but i still can't see what smith did wrong?

Every skipper goes up to the umps in those sorts of drs calls and asks about the details, mccullum did exactly the same thing when the burns caught behind was overturned with drs.

Mark Richardson finds your common sense intolerable

Here's an opinion that the contemporary cricket fan won't like, but I don't care. The best thing for cricket is to rid itself of this cancer, otherwise know as the DRS. It's not 100% accurate, has made some monumental howlers itself, and all it is teaching us is to undermine authority by never accepting an umpire's decision. Even when we get the verdict from the DRS, we're STILL not happy!!!!

Get rid of the DRS, encourage players to accept the umpire's decision, and the game will be a lot better for it.

We have such double standards if Opposition do that we say what a bunch of poor sports, we do it is fine..

Smith has been poor on numerous occasions since taking over the captaincy

Wasn't the worst thing that could happen but wasn't great to see

Say what? No one said a thing when McCullum did the exact same thing with the joe burns decision

Australia had a big advantage playing the WC final at the MCG where most of the NZ players hadn't played before.

If the WC final was held at Eden Park it would have been a different story, Australia have managed just 151 and 148 in their last two ODIs there which is even less than the 183 NZ scored in the WC final.
Why on earth would they hold the final at a piss ant ground like Eden park

Yeah that was terrible from Hazlewood. Just no need for that type of behavior.
