I think this is always cherrypicking the argument, when when he played his 5 games last year as an inside midfielder (starting centre bounces, look at his clearance and tackle arguments), everyone was arguing he "was" a HBF and we were playing him out of position, given he played well from the HBF as a 1st year player across 10 games in 2015. But it's pretty funny how his poor performances at AFL constantly get excused because everybody claim that when he plays one position, he's playing "out of position". I want to see him do well, and there's a genuine discussion about whether we've stuffed up his development by not developing him in one true position as opposed to getting him to play virtually every role a 6-foot-1 player can play. But you can't claim that he was being played "out of position" by being played as a half-back flanker given the very arguments for his poor performances as an inside midfielder last year were because he was being played "out of position" by not being played as a half-back flanker.
"Everyone" was saying he was being played out of position as a mid last year? Slight generalisation.
