Aucklander and I have had a couple of runs through recent posts in this thread and removed a few unsavoury comments.

The usual griping and gossip is par for the course, but some posts go overboard.

Williamstown CYMS listened to the club and VAFA community, and quickly remedied their mistake. Channel 7 on the other hand is run by a bunch of morons.

Club apathy is the only way this is going to get through to the keeper untouched. This is what "they" are relying on.


As the eyes are opened it appears that only a few hand picked clubs were given an eye peep months ago as the so called, panel of reviewers?
Was their feedback given to member clubs? What was it?

A usual noted lack of consultation with the majority of stakeholders.

If you are not close to clubland you provide some golden posts? Well I'm close enough and might I say the evacuation from the HQ and Board might take a sharp turn over the next week or two. The eye is shouting about the absolutely crap constitution that has been served up to the member clubs with the clubs expected to vote in favour. A vote in favour is a vote to kill off clubs and individuals without any rights of reply.

Perhaps this VAFA Special General Meeting should be called off due to the same reason as the ill fated Board Elections >>> Procedural Irregularities better know in legal circles as PASS THE HIDDEN BUCK. Apart from the consultation being comprehensive? >>>>>>>>>> whoops we forgot to ask the clubs >>>>>>> This will cost the general VAFA $$$ account a shitload, same as 2020 when there was total mismanagement with the elections - 2021 club treasurers crying when they see the legal fees for this season VAFA SOLUTION PASS IT ON TO THE CLUBS. Who can forget how 3 Board Members seeking reelection were allowed to use VAFA MEDIA FACILITIES to espouse their greatness BUT the 3 new people trying to get on the Board were DENIED. Clear breach of process and against the natural justice that we all should be accorded. A head should have rolled but B G escaped >>>> actually under the new constitution it would be a case of Bon Voyage.

Behind the Big Footy Scenes Clubs from all divisions are mobilizing against the establishment. The call to arms is coming >>>>>>>> why not have our own meeting without those who know how to look after us? When there is systemic mismanagement what generally happens >>>>>> rollout a scapegoat. This time someone will have to be offered up? I have been in contact with Maplebet and the hot favourite is >>>>> WTS >>>>>>>>

THE EYE IS SURPRISED WITH SOME OF THIS ABOVE

Biggest question is how can a new VAFA Constitution be put forward without due consultation. Smacks of hubris in the extreme.
Clearly this process is designed to be a complete power shift away from the members.
Performance from the CEO down and all Board members should be under review but can't be done internally. The independent integrity unit would have to do this. The not so all seeing EYE does know that clubs can call a special general meeting & call for a review or even a vote of no confidence and spill the Board.

THE OVERALL EYETAKE IS THAT IF THE VAFA CANCEL THE GENERAL MEETING THERE WILL BE EGGS ON THE FACES OF MANY WHO TRIED TO ENGINEER THIS.
IT MAY WELL BE THAT THERE IS NO WAY BACK FOR SOME AT HQ?

In theory we should know all tomorrow however some clubs have started to announce their intentions for next season. Old Camberwell not going up, Old Carey not going down. UHS may have to stay put

Not surprising re Old Camberwell didn't play Kew or Whitefriars and some close results with teams in the bottom end of the ladder. one could say their ladder position was somewhat inflated.

Interesting looking at clubs social media feeds. Can definite say UHS is staying in Prem C because they want to. Preston gone....................
